Remember when very few cars had a radio, now its common place.
Electric windows, sun-roofs and air-con where for top of the range vehicles.
Only XR3i and GTIs had fuel injection.
Now we are seeing SAT-NAV and in-car DVD and LCD SCREENS being fitted by car owners These are considered luxury items still or add-on kits.
We are now seeing SAT-NAV and in-car entertainment systems being fitted to more and more new cars, this will be the expected norm in the future.
DVL has over 15 years experience in the development and supply of in-car audio visual entertainment and satellite navigation solutions, with key strengths in the following areas:
Research and development
Concept design
CAD design and support
Programme management
OEM engineering liaison
Hard and soft trim fabrication
Performance and safety verification
Component manufacturing
Production assembly
Logistics management
Marketing support
With yet another contract added again today I feel that Designer Vision Ltd is the stock to back and get in early on the car entertainment boom.

Big contracts need big money to fund them, as they are not cash rich they either had to borrow money (pay interest on that), issue more shares or do both. Long term story hasn't changed I'm happy to hold for 2 years.

Looks to me like the days traders / short term investors are playing with this stock. This will all change when the year end figures are out next year in March.

Hopefully you are right.
If I am not mistaken, 2006 is the first year (interim) in which DVS has shown a profit, so hopefully the year end figures will show the same.

Doesn't it make you wish you had sold at 8p. Athough I read in the Shares Mag some time ago that statistically people who jump in and out of shares make less profit than those who sit tight. Therefore your timing is more wrong than right.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing Techno, however if you bought for the longterm, the price now shouldn't concern you too much. Next year it will be history, I think we are onto a winner here. I wouldn't mind if the price stayed quiet till December when I can buy a load more, but if it has shot up by then I won't be complaining either as I already hold a fair few - a win win situation!

Thats been my plan since I first invested end of February and hold for 2 years to get the full AIM tax relief as well.

Agreed Techno. I also first bought in February, but have unfortunately added at much higher prices, so am currently sitting on a loss. I'm not concerned, in terms that in a years time (much sooner hopefully), I will be sitting on a nice profit, but I am annoyed at the timing of my purchases - if I were buying now I would hold alot more.

I'm in the same boat Frampton, I bought in very early and bought more as the story unfolded but bought at much higher levels then at present so looking at a small lose at present.

I bought at 8.25p, so a notional loss here also.
I do feel that the order book is a little bit hand to mouth. A large, steady long trem contract to supply would, imo, be better for the company and the sp.
The U.S. order needs to be completed by this Xmas & the European contract has to be completed within 90 days which is not looking very far in to the future.
The Virgin contract is hopefully going to be the money spinner, but I feel that DVS need to have a few more irons in the fire.

Maybe investors selling as there is little action here compared to say Stanelco.

Here is a post from the other BB.
reply email from Angelo Panayiotou this afternoon:
Hi John,
Thank you for your email.
I cannot explain the current share price particularly after all the good news that has been released relating to big contract wins and high value orders, as the Chairman of the company I will be doing presentations to City institutions very soon in order to gain institutional support for the company which will hopefully rectify the current low share price in Designer Vision Group PLC.
As for whether or not you should buy stock in DV this has to be your own decision, I couldnt possibly comment either way, from my side the company is on a very secure footing with a strong order book and is outperforming all forecasts that are in the public arena.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Angelo Panayiotou

From the look at the chart we should be at the bottom looking for a move back up again. If the current trend continues will won't see 8p again until December unless we get some fantastic news.

It's good to see this going in the right direction again. I'm glad I bought a few more this morning and yesterday, pity I didn't have the nerve to get them when it was below 5p...
