Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

It doesn't matter what the majority think of Obama. The only ones who will have an influence is the don't knows as currently the remains seem to be ahead in all polls.

So the remains are hoping for a don't know landslide.

I suspect anyone who "don't know" at this time...don't care.

If the don't knows don't care then they may not vote. In that case the remains will win as they are well ahead in every poll.

Went to the 1st of series local of meetings on the EU last night (have any of you lot done so) in your area?

The general feeling was that there should not be a referendum and that this Government should have taken the decision as that is what we are paying them for.

The only reason we are having a referendum is to placate the split in the Tory Government over Europe.

Interesting as I would say that most present would have been Tory voters over the years.

Sounds like a complete waste of time to me , the fact is there is a referendum and talking about why there is a referendum is not the issue is it .

There's been calls for a referendum for years..But after ALL the main parties promising one, they ALL went back on their word or made up excuses.

Cameron promised one in his belief that it was going to be a hung government and that they'd join with the LibDems again, with the LibDems making it one of the red lines not to have a referendum...

So once again stan talks rubbish...

Leaving the European Union would fuel Argentinian aggression towards the Falkland Islands, a senior representative from the territory has warned.

Sukey Cameron, the Falkland Islands government representative in the UK, said an Out vote “might encourage Argentina to be much more aggressive”.

She also warned that Brexit could be “catastrophic” to Islanders because about 70 per cent of their economic growth is dependent on access to the EU market.

The warnings were contained in a new report from a cross-party group of MPs attempting to give “reliable, unbiased analysis” of Britain’s EU membership ahead of the referendum.
