ghengis101 - 03 Nov 2005 19:53 - 12448 of 27111

Has'nt anyone in their life ever had " Cash flow problems ".???.
ie: csa,tax demands, costly divorce ?.OK the gentleman concerned has sold some of his options which is probably worth at least 2-3 years worth of his salary,
would'nt you ??

NielsJensen - 03 Nov 2005 20:06 - 12449 of 27111

bbhunt, that's the only thing I can see that'll save the day. Next RNS, unfortunately, will be the end of ASDA tests, and then FDA approval. Weeks to go. Let's hope for the best. Maybe they'll announce a date for the filter auction.

OBLOMOV researches agressively, and decides `Yes its bye-byes`

ZZZZZZZZZZZnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!

tweenie - 03 Nov 2005 20:39 - 12451 of 27111

Can't see what all the fuss is about. If I could pocket over 75K for sod all and still have half my share option, I'd be happy. good on him...... wish it was me.
It's all getting a bit personal , hang in there oblomov.
It's my money and I'll decide how I want to spend it. So the price has dropped , still up over 200%. Have lots of faith and it ain't BLIND.
The good times for the shorters are sadly limited. but I wish them well.
Never expected any news until after full FSA approval re starpol. So am willing to wait A LOT LONGER.

blinger - 03 Nov 2005 20:39 - 12452 of 27111

I see that ` those in the know` (nowt), consider that EVO were chosen from all others as they ` are not as inclined to allow shorting as the previous incumbent`,
deep breath!!!!!!!!

ROTFFLMFACBH&AO!!!!!!!!

ghengis, bit like poor old Blunkett, you mean?.
Its called "immoral"

superrod - 03 Nov 2005 21:10 - 12454 of 27111

im a fan of this share but have no present holding. i find it odd that large selling is occurring now ( for whatever reason ) when days ago the profit( loss ) could have been much larger ( smaller ).

bhunt1910 - 03 Nov 2005 22:35 - 12455 of 27111

Oblo - I am not an expert on this - not sure if its a STX rule or an internal rule - but most companies have a closed period 6-8 weeks ahead of the announcement of results where senior managers cannot sell.

I do not know when the results are due to be published - last year it was end of February - which would imply a January something close.

Others may know more specifically than me.

Sorry not to be more help

Baza

oblomov - 03 Nov 2005 22:39 - 12456 of 27111

Thanks Baza,

that would possibly explain the reason for selling now - needed money for Christmas shopping!

Superod,

Total buys today 4,317,745

sells 1,895,940

+ unknowns (which looked like buys) of 4,889,550

Wheres the 'large selling' you're talking about?

bhunt1910 - 03 Nov 2005 22:40 - 12457 of 27111

2 big buys after hours of almost 3 m shares - least ways I think they are buys ?

Baza

oblomov - 03 Nov 2005 22:52 - 12458 of 27111

I've got them as buys -

1,342,905

1,500,000

Juste pondering upon how todays buyer of excess of 3 million and the 2 buyers of lm+ are feeling after watching SEO board exercise 4m options @ 14p. ln saying that, Balchin exercised an option at 4p only to watch them advance to 10p within a week, and to 32p, a few months later. When questioned he explained the sale was a tax matter.- as simple as that ,,,Hmm .. Perception is obviously not the strong suite at SEO. But to declare the sale in the wake of having juste left court does not exactly inspire confidence . The hearing was basically nothing more than protocol ; a very short statement of intent of both parties, an oppertunity to ensure all neccassary witnesses,s & documents are available to the court thus allowing Jacob LJ ,the residing judge ,to set { direct } a definitive time for the main appeal. But what a time for those absolute turds @ SEO to sell !!! . Absolutely F****G gauling. !! An absolute piss take . Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. Had they no PR in their employ to warn them of the perils of such delicate timing . Obviously not . This action infers 14p is as good as it gets for the time being . Even the most optimistic cannot be sleeping as easily tonight : with most glued to a pc screen at 7 ,.. An excellent point Superod . lt had entered my mind . ...@+ J

bhunt1910 - 03 Nov 2005 22:55 - 12460 of 27111

Well - lets just hope that lightning strikes twice and that the sp increases by 10 over the coming week !!!!!!

On that sobering note - bed

Night night

Could this not be read another way? What if SEO were to be on the verge of announcing something huge, such as a Walmart deal, which would send the SP soaring. Could they have exercised the share options at the time of the announcement or shortly afterwards or would they have to wait for a period of time? Couldn't it be that if they needed some cash , the options would have to be exercised ahead of, rather than directly after, a big announcement?

Got my rose-tinteds on today!

Thats an uncanny likeness of me Bungler - spooky!

TheFrenchConnection - 03 Nov 2005 23:23 - 12462 of 27111

lndeed they say hope springs eternal . And lets face it . You need as much as you can get with these jokers ....Talking of Jokers . Who was it who said it was mentioned in Shares mag ?? ..Well observed Aldwick ....! Rapidly becoming more apparent as each say passes by that SEO was yet another typical rag arsed outfit with a quick chance of each pocketing a few quid.. Like many other traders i have made more than a tidy sum out of this company.l have no personal axe to grind whatsoever . BUT the board are NOT traders ; but supposedly representatives of shareholders interests . Their actions act as a barometer of how things stand within the house of SEO ,,,,,,And to sell before the asda trials and c/c gives perhaps the wrong impression . The Emperors new clothes comes to mind ,,, @+ J

Tonyrelaxes - 03 Nov 2005 23:57 - 12463 of 27111

I find Mr Feast's exercise and sale quite the thing to do, fully acceptable and not in anyway negative.

The RNS says he had the option on 1,113,958 shares @ 1.975p. According to the Biotec/EGM circular 80% of these had their first exercise date of 31 Oct 2005. Where the others came from is not instantly clear to me.

In exercising these options as soon as he can, he has to stump up 22,000 from his tax paid cash. This requires about 45,000 gross income - over and above his existing commitments - without any CGT implications (of which I am uncertain about options). If CGT is due it would be 40@ on 38,000 = 15,200. Requiring a further 26,000 gross income. 71,000 Gross required

So how does he finance this? Simple - sell some of the shares.

OK. So he sold half and raised 77,977 gross. That is just about self financing without changing his usual income/outgoings after allowing for any CGT (@40%, ignoring Annual Allowance) plus a little beer money. It also (presumably) aleviates a greater CGT problem later on.

Maybe I am missing something. No doubt those with more knowledge than I will correct me.

bosley - 04 Nov 2005 00:00 - 12464 of 27111

niels, i am getting real. it has been pointed out a few times that the rns we do not see is the one where we get told the directors are increasing their shareholdings. how many times have you seen seo directors in the director buys columns? whatever his reasons are it looks bad and the timing is bad. not the best of starts for evo.

Tonyrelaxes - 04 Nov 2005 00:19 - 12465 of 27111

OK. realised my CGT was based on all shares, not the half sold. Sorry. But the basic premise remains sound - I think....

insiderinside - 04 Nov 2005 02:41 - 12466 of 27111

TFC - too obvious - you have gone long now - and the director sells - have messed you up - you are not happy - convert to short now ? - I would if I was long and into shorting - target below 11p
