Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Fred1new - 31 Jul 2009 13:42 - 1247 of 6906

No. Also I am still alive but have an opinion about. but I have various opinions about death.

Also opinions about the validity and gainfulness about killing "innocent" people, whether they are Arab, Jewish, Americans or any other race or nationality.

Also haven't been to the South Pole, but from reports would "believe" it to be cold!

Fred1new - 31 Jul 2009 13:45 - 1248 of 6906

PS.. I wasn't in Germany or Poland during the years 1939-45, but believe much of the "objective" and accepted reports about what happened during that period.

This quote comes to mind!

"for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

cynic - 12 Aug 2009 16:49 - 1252 of 6906

was that written by God?

there's also one along the lines of he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword, which of course could apply almost equally to both parties in this "childish" conflict

Fred1new - 12 Aug 2009 17:25 - 1253 of 6906

Cynic, No it was typed by me. But I do see your point.

However, I wish the conflict was childish. Perhaps, the scale of damage and number of deaths would be less.

I think the best adjective to describe the actions of both/all sides is primitive.

cynic - 12 Aug 2009 17:32 - 1254 of 6906

i see plenty of asses but no jawbones thereof!

joking and silly/fun wordgames apart, the conflict is basically childish as are most - i.e. you've got a chocolate bar and i want it; if you won't give it to me, i'll bite you ..... sharing (aka compromise) works with adult adults

MrCharts - 12 Aug 2009 18:48 - 1255 of 6906

Mmmm........the Russians tried sharing out Poland with Hitler.
Seriously both sides have to compromise and give up cherished hopes to live in peace, but that requires a desire to do that on both sides. I think Abbas and Israel can "do business" but as long as Hamas and its allies continue to seek and re-affirm the destruction of Israel then peace is impossible.
And for those who think Netanyahu is an extremist, remember it was Begin who made peace with Egypt - land for peace and recognition - and it's worked for 30 years.

cynic - 12 Aug 2009 19:06 - 1256 of 6906

only one thing wrong with the Poland analogy -the Poles were not a willing party to it!

I can see the difficulties in negotiating with the Israeli government:

A group of rabbis and Jewish mystics has taken to the skies over Israel, praying and blowing ceremonial horns in a plane to ward off swine flu.

About 50 religious leaders circled over the country on Monday, chanting prayers and blowing horns, called shofars.

The flight's aim was "to stop the pandemic so people will stop dying from it", Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri was quoted as saying in Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper"

swine flu only attacks gentiles or those of the Chosen who have fallen by the wayside!
btw, i did not think that Kabalists were really in the mainstream of life even in Israel ..... but of course if the papers print something, it must be true

Especially, if supported by a bulletin board.

But it is an odd old world.

Bye the way, what are the differences between, childish, childlike and primitive when relating to behaviour?
