I have read elsawhere that the green seal machines are running too slowly and are therfore not profitable. is this rubbish!!! Does anyone have any information to squash this?
Thanks
Lindos

ghengis101 - 06 Nov 2005 16:54 - 12510 of 27111

Lindos,
I feel that it is total B/S or misinformation spread by shorters, who have only started posting on various bb's ( under several pseudonyms ? ) in the last month or so !! .Time will tell .
But ask yourself this Question ? Would you rather believe, an anonymous de-ramper ,who has his own vested interest in seeing the share price fall ,or two senior members of ASDA and Sainsburys who have left their previous careers to join Stanelco ?

lindos - 06 Nov 2005 17:17 - 12511 of 27111

That was my gut feeling as well
Thanks

greekman - 06 Nov 2005 17:26 - 12512 of 27111

Oilyway,

Your post 12496, (although copied as you state ) says it all. I have no doubt that on present fundamentals SEO is overpriced but on future prospects is far too cheap.
Not one to guess or state possible future prices, but I am sure as I can be this share has excellent prospects.

greekman - 06 Nov 2005 17:30 - 12513 of 27111

lindos,

I agree with ghengis re misinformation, if there was any sort of problem with the greenseal project, SEO would under LSE rules have had to release such. They could not possibly hope to keep such a price sensative issue quiet.

ghengis101 - 06 Nov 2005 17:37 - 12514 of 27111

Chaps,
I've edited My previous post to re-iterate the point.

Thanks,
G

greekman

Its oilywag to emphasize a none existing sense of humour.

The oily one

NielsJensen - 06 Nov 2005 18:33 - 12517 of 27111

It's "none". Sorry wag...

blinger - 06 Nov 2005 19:01 - 12518 of 27111

tweenie, dearie do grow up, I am short the stock, obviously,I don`t lose money on falling prices 50% profit in a few weeks is easy money, now if you don`t understand how, its time you learned
Somerfield have "d2w" supplying degradable plastic bags, SEO are dead in the water

look at http://www.degradable.net/

hewittalan6 - 06 Nov 2005 19:27 - 12519 of 27111

Er, Kwik save and Somerfield both recently kicked Symphony into touch, resulting in pay cuts for their directors, redundancies and a plummeting share price. Hope you were short on that one.
Are you saying SYM is a better bet(?) or SEO will go the same way?
Alan

blinger - 06 Nov 2005 19:28 - 12520 of 27111

the latter .

hewittalan6 - 06 Nov 2005 20:01 - 12521 of 27111

Hmm. I can see more differences than similarities. SYM merely acted as a middle man between a plastic bag manufacturer and a couple of supermarkets. SEO have a range of solutions that go quite a bit further than a degradable bag, that are cost effective and enhance packaging and performance. They have new technologies available and, to be fair, the plastic bag issue is merely a side show to the real points of greenseal and starpol.
Comparing SEO and SYM would be like comparing SEO to a manufacturer of envelopes because you see no real future for frogpak. I see no real future for frogpak either, but I aint gonna dump because of it.
Still, each to their own and I hope you're wrong on this one.

SIMILARITIES????? SEO/SYM

hewittalan6 - 06 Nov 2005 21:03 - 12523 of 27111

Oh come on, Blinger. There are dozens of charts you could overlay like that, and over the same time frame (though a different period) I am certain I could find lots of companies who followed exactly that pattern before rising dramatically. I fact, 1 of my favourites (BRW) did exactly that, from 80pps+ to 36pps (where I bought in) and now 140pps. The chart proves nowt.
I was talking about differences in the underlying business, as well you know, and if you wish to compare charts, then also include all the basic financial data about balance sheet and gearing, just to make it fair.
Short if you please, point out the companies shortcomings if you want (there are plenty to choose from) by all means, for we should welcome all input. But keep it real and keep it balanced.

See what I mean. On my chart now is the time to buy!!!!

hewittalan6 - 06 Nov 2005 21:07 - 12525 of 27111

Sorry for going off subject guys, but comparing the charts of two different companies who have very little in common means nothing and I wished to make the point.

hewittalan6 - 06 Nov 2005 21:56 - 12527 of 27111

Evening Baza,
Grudgingly agree, but as a Leeds fan you can see how grudging it is! 8-))
