Please report bugs and enhancements (BUGS)

andy.lovell - 04 Nov 2002 11:26

If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!

Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

axdpc,

I will get Jonathan to take a look at this.

EDIT: axdpc - I have just done a search using this and it seemed to work fine - can you E mail me with the specifics of the search you tried and I will see if I can replicate.

The Manage Email Bulletins from My Account does not seem to work.

I am getting all of them even though none are selected, I have tried selecting them then removing them but I still get the emails!

Also how do you reduce subscription level? this doesn't seem to be an option? it only allows upgrades?

Thanks.

Spaceman - 06 Oct 2003 16:11 - 1260 of 7315

Re the query from axdpc, I have noticed that the started by search doesn't just return threads that have been "Started by" the person, it returns all threads they have responded too, its also in a somewhat random order which makes it not much use in my view.

Time Traveller - 06 Oct 2003 16:14 - 1261 of 7315

Spaceman, you have to phone up to manage your sub down
TT

Bullshare - 06 Oct 2003 16:23 - 1262 of 7315

Spaceman; To downgrade a user needs to email or ring us. You actually have 2 accounts with us, the mobile account is still down to send you emails, or rather was, until I unticked them for you!

kayak; We have had similar requests. We have gone down the route of doing 1 week promo's. 1 - day access would only work on a contended system, something we don't do/believe in for L2.

Kayak - 06 Oct 2003 16:36 - 1263 of 7315

Thanks Mike

Spaceman - 06 Oct 2003 17:20 - 1264 of 7315

Mike, thanks for that, I had forgotten the mobile one I havnt used that one because of the Blackberry issue.

axdpc - 06 Oct 2003 18:30 - 1265 of 7315

Ian,

Try putting 'axdpc' in 'started by' criteria and leave the other three criteria
blank.

Kayak - 06 Oct 2003 18:56 - 1266 of 7315

Every time I have tried the "started by" search it has appeared to me that the results were all threads containing a post by the user rather than started by him. That is more useful anyway, so please don't remove the facility!!

axdpc - 06 Oct 2003 19:04 - 1267 of 7315

Kayak,

Yes, as a compromise I would liek to suggest the following changes

(1) rename 'started by' to 'posted by'
(2) a result sort options. Choices of 'Date Created', 'Started by' and 'Thread Title'

??

Spaceman - 06 Oct 2003 19:22 - 1268 of 7315

I agree with Axdpc and Kayak the order is the thing that makes the current search less useful, once it has found the threads its easy to tell who they were started by.

The sorts axdpc suggests would make it much better.

Haystack - 06 Oct 2003 21:50 - 1269 of 7315

I would like any searches to find posts on both BBs and an indication of whch BB it is on. This is similar to the way it works on another well known BB. It has the added advantage that poeple on the Investors BB can see that there are threads they may be interested in on the Traders BB and may upgrade.

GUys,

Thanks for the feedback - I will pass all of this onto our technical team for consideration/development.

Currently the MNU L2 screen shows
Total volume 35,324,047, sets volume: 726,858, which seems reasonable given the news today,

but my stockwatch page shows Cum. vol: 9,373,220

a bit different!

little woman - 07 Oct 2003 15:08 - 1272 of 7315

My stockwatch page is not updating the streaming (in fact it looks different, not too keen, and I can no longer open additional pages from it anymore! :-( - useful to check out the BB, and leave the stockwatch page up)

Trading streaming working, but not stockwatch - checked my internet options, and it is set to update automatically. Any suggestions?

little woman - 07 Oct 2003 15:59 - 1273 of 7315

It seems I turned the streaming off, by leaving turn streaming on!

Spaceman - 22 Oct 2003 12:36 - 1274 of 7315

Probably not a bug but ...

I want to add INDU to a stockwatch screen but I get "The following stocks were not recognised, or are not available live on your current subscription level: INDU"

I know INDU isnt a stock but this works OK for UKX which also isnt a stock.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Oct 2003 12:46 - 1275 of 7315

Spaceman - unfortunately, we do not carry this at the moment - hence the error message you are getting.

Ian

Spaceman - 22 Oct 2003 12:48 - 1276 of 7315

Ian thanks for that but its the Dow and it is available on the Indices tab as is UKX?

IanT(MoneyAM) - 22 Oct 2003 12:56 - 1277 of 7315

I'm afraid not even I don't have access to it in its streaming form

Sorry
