Two points which do not seem to feature in the assessment of SEO and its path to glory.
"Terry Robins has been appointed Chief Operating Officer with a specific remit to assist the group in achieving final commercialisation of its tray-lidding and thermoformingproduct suite. Terry spent over 30 years working for J. Sainsbury plc, latterly as Packaging Innovations Manager"
**************************************************************
"Stanelco plc, the RF applications Group, is delighted to announce the
appointment of Martin Wagner as Commercial Director of Stanelco RF Technologies
Ltd with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging
technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000.
Martin was previously Head of Packaging Development at ASDA Stores Limited where he has spent the last 5 years heading up a number of different commercial teams delivering both significant savings to the business and leading ground breaking strategic initiatives, and was directly involved in ASDA's adoption of the
GREENSEAL technology project. Martin brings to Stanelco his experience of
working directly in the food and beverage supply industry as well as the
healthcare and pharmaceutical industries at director level."

Would these guys have moved from major companies if they did not feel there was a future with SEO ?. I think not.
The other point is Biotec.
This company cost the partners $ 26m dollars. at 1.77 dollars to the pound this equates to a cost 14.7m. I think we may be a little ( or a lot ) carried away with 100m, but at 30m we are "quids in" considering the residue after filter sale.
To the long term holders, keep the faith, to the shorters keep on your toes, they may be trodden on soon.

Evening all.
To add to the comments above from predateur the following extract from an e-mail I received from PM1
"After several enquiries about the Shares Mag dodgy reporting on Stanelco today, based on 'rumours', I passed the details to Howard, his reply was, and I quote ....
"It is bullshit that there are any major problems with Greenseal, it is progressing well"
I can only summise that Shares mag got their 'rumours' from the bashers on the MAM and AVDFN BB's.
Cheers,
Paul"

Arse.
For those who measure a stocks performance in single days trading, please post on the traders thread.
Thing is blinger, I invested between 0917 and 0933 when SEO +0.8% and SPO -0.24%. (joke for those with sense of humour removed - just to show what a daft statement that was).
We are a little bit longer term than that on here.

Evening Oilyrag & gang dreamers. There are 599 additives in cigarette tobacco incl. the paper and the filter.
Now you may recall (perhaps not) passing a "smoke" around in your youth, by the time the last person inhaled ( or not, if your name is Clinton- quite a card), there was a nasty soggy bit nick-named a ` pigs Aris`.
That is merely one problem moving away from conventional filters will cause, a soggy end is not really what smokers want, and telling them that they will suffer that to sort out one of the 599 artificial enhancements is not want they want either.
Telling the people who KNOW they are killing themselves smoking that the butt end will disssolve in 4 weeks will be a real treat.
As to the value of 100m put on the filter,
er excuse me but,
ROTFFLMFACB&HO
Get real blokes!!!!!!!!Do you really think that people wouldn`t be queueing up to buy the co. never mind the patent?

I have done mate.
My stock of choice rose 2.1% today. Thats its 4th day in 5 of rises (the other was level).
That don't make my holding of SEO wrong.
Difference is, I don't go on another thread alltogether and crow about how superior and clever I am, cos I am not, and I have no need to over compenstae for anything.
This is not Utd. versus City.
This is a question of whether SEO is a good INVESTMENT. Whether or not it is a good trade is irrelevant.

re. SPO,why?
because recently the price keeps going up, thats all that interests me, simple approach, but profitable.
Oh and I did hear a rumour that Ryanair are gambling mad,and will fly you for nowt in the near future-if you punt on board their aircraft.
Whom will supply their on-board betting stuff, goodness knows--LOL!!!!!

fair enough. ryanair are always trying stuff. they recently tried pay-as-you-view films , but nobody was interested, so they dropped it.
as a smoker who has been booted outside to smoke and now puts all my fag ends in a plant pot i can testify that the current filters do not biodegrade. bio d filters can only be a good thing and will be a minor benefit to the litter problem we see on our streets. smokers will smoke regardless of what filter is on, soggy or not.
100m sounds too good to be true, which usually means it is. as i have said before, considering profits at the moment are nil, anything seo get will benefit the bottom line.

you have just come onto a free bb, and boasted that you have made a large % on shares- (threads are `geek-speak`, we all inhabit the same universe), as to you not being " short term" on SEO,and so confident of future gains,I would have thought you would have tucked your holding away in a SIPP, turned your attention elsewhere, and left well alone.
But hey its a free world, only some want to control it, me?, nah, too much hassle,

No, I have not boasted, I have made a point that not having the days big winner does not make every other stock a failure.
I have also had plenty of losers, and I am by no means a professional investor. This is the equivalent of my old Mum nipping to the bingo. It is fun, I make a few quid, and if I lose the lot, it doesn't matter a jot.
Any of the regulars to these boards will tell you I am self deprecating, usually and very quick to laugh at my own shortcomings (there are plenty to choose from). I have very little working knowledge of balance sheets (I expect my accountant to do something for his ridiculous bill) and only a tentative grip on the practises and rules of the stock market.
What I do have is an ability to spot a good business strategy with good leadership and high potential. Sometimes I am very wrong, but in this case I hope I am very right. I beleive SEO to have good medium term propspects, and that is good enough for me.
As far as SIPPS go, you'll have to speak to my companies advisors. They handle the boards pension provisions through some sort of final salary pension plan, and all our Isa and capital gains allowances. I just give em a list of the deals I've done and watch them shake their heads in disbelief.

Blinger re your post 12655...
The butt thing isn't aimed at the smoker but the manufacturer. Cost, environmental issue and keeping the streets tidy I imagine will be the pros of the product....
As for the expression topped up.... Really it doesn't take a genius to figure out whats meant.
Finaly your SPO comments are on the wrong thread, this ones for SEO. See the top of the page for clarification!

Blinger, re: your soggy end. I would suggest you cut down on the wacky backy! The biodegrading property of the proposed material does not imply that it will get any soggier than the current filter material, only that it will biodegrade as early as 60 days....might be a bit soggy then!
