I have done mate.
My stock of choice rose 2.1% today. Thats its 4th day in 5 of rises (the other was level).
That don't make my holding of SEO wrong.
Difference is, I don't go on another thread alltogether and crow about how superior and clever I am, cos I am not, and I have no need to over compenstae for anything.
This is not Utd. versus City.
This is a question of whether SEO is a good INVESTMENT. Whether or not it is a good trade is irrelevant.

re. SPO,why?
because recently the price keeps going up, thats all that interests me, simple approach, but profitable.
Oh and I did hear a rumour that Ryanair are gambling mad,and will fly you for nowt in the near future-if you punt on board their aircraft.
Whom will supply their on-board betting stuff, goodness knows--LOL!!!!!

bosley - 10 Nov 2005 18:56 - 12660 of 27111

fair enough. ryanair are always trying stuff. they recently tried pay-as-you-view films , but nobody was interested, so they dropped it.
as a smoker who has been booted outside to smoke and now puts all my fag ends in a plant pot i can testify that the current filters do not biodegrade. bio d filters can only be a good thing and will be a minor benefit to the litter problem we see on our streets. smokers will smoke regardless of what filter is on, soggy or not.
100m sounds too good to be true, which usually means it is. as i have said before, considering profits at the moment are nil, anything seo get will benefit the bottom line.

hewittalan6

you have just come onto a free bb, and boasted that you have made a large % on shares- (threads are `geek-speak`, we all inhabit the same universe), as to you not being " short term" on SEO,and so confident of future gains,I would have thought you would have tucked your holding away in a SIPP, turned your attention elsewhere, and left well alone.
But hey its a free world, only some want to control it, me?, nah, too much hassle,

pack it in marra, you will die before long-and I am deadly serious

a very X smoker who survived Legionaires Disease 20+ years back

bosley - 10 Nov 2005 19:02 - 12663 of 27111

i'm building up to it. jan 1st 2006 i start fag free.

hewittalan6 - 10 Nov 2005 19:06 - 12664 of 27111

No, I have not boasted, I have made a point that not having the days big winner does not make every other stock a failure.
I have also had plenty of losers, and I am by no means a professional investor. This is the equivalent of my old Mum nipping to the bingo. It is fun, I make a few quid, and if I lose the lot, it doesn't matter a jot.
Any of the regulars to these boards will tell you I am self deprecating, usually and very quick to laugh at my own shortcomings (there are plenty to choose from). I have very little working knowledge of balance sheets (I expect my accountant to do something for his ridiculous bill) and only a tentative grip on the practises and rules of the stock market.
What I do have is an ability to spot a good business strategy with good leadership and high potential. Sometimes I am very wrong, but in this case I hope I am very right. I beleive SEO to have good medium term propspects, and that is good enough for me.
As far as SIPPS go, you'll have to speak to my companies advisors. They handle the boards pension provisions through some sort of final salary pension plan, and all our Isa and capital gains allowances. I just give em a list of the deals I've done and watch them shake their heads in disbelief.

Blinger re your post 12655...

The butt thing isn't aimed at the smoker but the manufacturer. Cost, environmental issue and keeping the streets tidy I imagine will be the pros of the product....

As for the expression topped up.... Really it doesn't take a genius to figure out whats meant.

Finaly your SPO comments are on the wrong thread, this ones for SEO. See the top of the page for clarification!

blinger - 10 Nov 2005 19:15 - 12666 of 27111

hewittalan6

lots of words there ,hope you are up
, BUT even more important bosley- well done, hope you get free of that awful habit- it`s well worth it.
exposive-
as I said `threads` are for geeks, free speech isn`t bound by rules.

Anyway check out the SEO share price, and I see more falls tomorrow and next week as the BS runs out, tip sheets?
hah!!!!!

explosive - 10 Nov 2005 19:23 - 12667 of 27111

Blinger

If threads are for geeks mate then you must be a bloody big geek with all the posts you've added.

As for SEOs sp, ups and downs lets 250% rise in last 12 months mate!! Speaks for itself..

blinger - 10 Nov 2005 19:33 - 12668 of 27111

er yeah mate yer

TV is much more interesting than this.

garyble - 10 Nov 2005 20:37 - 12669 of 27111

Blinger, re: your soggy end. I would suggest you cut down on the wacky backy! The biodegrading property of the proposed material does not imply that it will get any soggier than the current filter material, only that it will biodegrade as early as 60 days....might be a bit soggy then!

ghengis101 - 10 Nov 2005 20:45 - 12670 of 27111

Blinger,
WISE UP !!! you are full of B/S

NielsJensen - 10 Nov 2005 20:51 - 12671 of 27111

Blinger, you did not have the 10K to back up your nonsense and take up my bet. So you are either piss poor, a fool or a coward. In any case you are now squelched. Byeee.

blinger - 10 Nov 2005 21:10 - 12672 of 27111

A thought......SEO sell the 2 patents associated with the cigarette filters for say 100m, well who would supply the raw materials?
-------------
Well now, there are a few brain-cells left amomg the boot-fillers bb, precisely the point -well spotted,
yep the 100m product again, but , erm SEO aren`t interested in making it, the patent is for sale, but the license to produce is owned by---- ?????

NielsJensen- do go and do a fox-trot off, you prat!!!!!!!!

blinger - 10 Nov 2005 21:12 - 12673 of 27111

ps- losers
- watch the SP tomorrow, there was a period of " backwardation" tonight after closing, not unknown for that to presage a HUGE fall,

Enjoy!!!!!!

bosley - 10 Nov 2005 21:23 - 12674 of 27111

wouldn't that depend on the price someone was prepared to pay?

hewittalan6 - 10 Nov 2005 21:35 - 12675 of 27111

Tried earlier to put an overlay of the SEO and SPO 12 month charts on the board, but I am technically illiterate, so all I got was a red cross.
The point is, one looks like a section of the himalayas, and the other is flatlined. Couldn't think of a single reason why any investor or trader would prefer the flatliner. Its worth a look, just for the amusement factor.
Alan

ghengis101 - 10 Nov 2005 22:02 - 12676 of 27111

Blinger,
With the greatest respect could you possibly explain the following words from your previous posts:" backwardation" and "presage ".
Please explain ,otherwise many of the readers of this B/B may come to the Conclusion that you are full of B/S

garyble - 10 Nov 2005 22:08 - 12677 of 27111

Blinger,

The global consumption of the current raw material equates a cost of ~$2.27bn.
