I said you should have followed my tip (Sectorguard (see message posted on 28th August) which (trying not to sound too cocky) has risen nearly 20% already today, but still more to come. STILL A STRONG BUY!!!

"GRE" - DYOR but I've just bought at 1.1 when the price seems to be standing at 1.25! There is a big spread but this hit a height of around 2.6 dropped back and seems to be climbing again. Perhaps I've been too clever but when quoted offer price is 1.5 I couldn't resist at 1.1.

Poss I struck lucky with GRE because I just tried to buy some more and price was now 1.44. Still odd about earlier because I bought 60k at 1.10. Looking now there is a sell shown for that amount but I definitely bought as I didn't own any before it did make me double check my contract note though. Perhaps I have the Ample share trade website to thank - but worth keeping a watchful eye.
Still I think the best buy for Sept is RGT but I'm biassed because I've already got in strongly.

It is worth continuing to keep an eye on Cyprotex (crx) as the new Chairman/CEO assumes overal responsability. I accept this is a high risk penny share but the upside is substantial if the companies "virtual human" drug testing device finds favour with the major Pharma companies. Currently 14.5/15.5p

I already hold RGT for the long term but my short term bet is SEY..Sterling Energy at 12p.. and could double within 5/6 months.

I'm new here, just got fed up with Ample's BB's, what a pleasant surprise, a well mannered BB with no harsh words and bitching!!
For what it's worth I suggest the following:
GFM - Griffin Mining - Definitely worth a serious look, but be quick, its latest rises have not stopped yet. I got in at 4p (now 18.5p), a tidy profit but not tempted to sell yet. I predict 25% rise in next month and 100% in next year.
PRO - Provalis - Looked good a couple of years ago but fell hard after new issue a while back, but is now showing good recovery and has plenty of steam yet. I have been in and out of this one, but am now in for the medium to long term.
NMT - NMT - This was a punt of mine about six months or so ago, bought at 1p and prepared to lose the lot or make a mint. In the long term I think it is a lucky punt, but ignore the profit takers on this one, they can make you want to jump ship with what you've got, but hold fast, for 2.8p it is well worth a punt.
AVM - Avocet Mining - A good steady investment, rising slowly but surely.
SDM - Stadium - Only just in on this one, but have done extensive research and am confident for the future.
Finally, one not to touch if you have any sense is IAL - Inter Alliance - down from approx 3 to 3p in the last 18 months or so!! A long time before any recovery in this one.
Thanks to all for excellent reading, hope mine is of help.

Mitzy,
Re Stirling Energy (SEY) I agree, they have a strong team running the shop, and I'm reasonably confident that US gas prices will increase with the onset of winter.
There was some talk of a takeover or two, but noyhing official has been announced so far.
I hold, and am going to top up.

RE AVM, Avocet Mining.
i have great hopes for Avocet, and their AGM is on Tuesday, so we may glean more then.
Avocet are amongst the cheapest miners on the LSE, as the table below, now produced on several BB's, testifies.
A table was then produced which ranked the gold producers that are most widely traded in London in terms of US$ market capitalization per ounce of gold produced. The result was as follows:
1. Peter Hambro ......$3,943
2. Bema Gold ........ $3,726
3. Celtic ........... $3,514
4. Highland Gold .....$2,118
5. Barrick ...........$1,644
6. Newmont ...........$1,505
7. Placer Dome ...... $1,345
8. Gold Fields .......$1,251
9. Kinross .......... $1,192
10. Anglogold ........$1,168
11. Harmony ...........$755
12. Durban ............$516
13. Thistle ...........$442
14. Avocet ............$321
Average: $1,674/ounce of production

Hi everyone, Homer 2 here,
My tip for what it's worth is "Black Rock Oil" (BLR)www.blackrockpetroleum.com , go see their website very interesting company with lots of potential and cheap, so fill your boots.
Second tip would be Sterling Energy SEY, mainly because it was tipped in Shares magazine some months ago and mainly because the company has a sound management team, worth its weight in gold.
That's all for now folks!

SYM-tipped this on this thread 20th August since made 50% profit but with interims to come and speculation of further contract news with the results, I fancy this one to go further.

SMK -Saltmark Not one I'd come across before but someone mentioned it to me and it does seem to have had a major improvement in profits this year but DYOR. I had difficulty trying to buy them which is a good sign and at around .6/.65 for a decent number it seems a worthwhile punt.

I first mentioned MMG back in July when they were trading at 22p, and today they have risen 20% to 28p and still have the potential to be a ten bagger ifthere is such a thing..expect some positive news re their cancer treatment in the next couple of days..

GXN - GX Networks - I'm surprised not to see this one mentioned more - take a look at it. A real chance of some rapid increase in value as the market wakes up to what the company is up to - and talk of bank/buyer interest in the near future. Started to move more on Friday - watch for more next week.
