BTX rising steadily since the float-also bought more EPY today as they're up a touch. good piece in yesterdays Times about the potentially rich rewards from all the interactive channels being produced-good to see Yoo was prominent among them!

driver - 12 Apr 2006 18:26 - 128 of 934

Been a bit quite on here BFPG results out today the company looks good long term I may go in.

MDY AGM is on the 23 April could be positive still a lot of upside.

BUC Results out soon, good for a punt at these levels

SCO looks good long term I will be adding.

PCM Still waiting for results any positives and the share will fly.

moneyplus - 17 Apr 2006 12:12 - 129 of 934

with all the chinese shares I've been buying lately---how could I have missed this one!! CREO has rocketed up for anyone lucky enough to own the shares. Does anyone know why the sp is rising so suddenly?

soul traders - 17 Apr 2006 14:33 - 130 of 934

Cyril, Driver,

I have had a speculative punt on BLVN for the same reasons: big cash pile, audited reserves, current market cap doesn't even cover the value of the cash on the balance sheet. If you have any further thoughts, I'd welcome you to publish them on the thread I started.

FYI the Cameroon project is scheduled to be turned into a Gas-to-Electricity generator providing for a substantial proportion of Cameroon's growing energy needs, so could be a real money-spinner. Much of the info is in the AIM placing document - see the company website www.bowleven.com or my thread for more details.

I do have these on my watch list, I don't think there is going to be a swift sp recovery I may be wrong but it does look like a good long term recovery play. GTL could be a better bet.

The good stuff

Cash of 62 million
3D seismic survey underway on blocks MLHP 5 and MLHP 6 of Etinde permit
Reserves of 60.3 mmboe remain in place
Four well drilling programme being prepared for early 2007
Loss for the period 0.7 million
Concentration on original strategic plan including implementation of
Gas To Electricity ('GTE') Plant in Cameroon

Following some new director appointments and management changes, the company is returning to the path that was set out in our AIM Admission Document in December 2004, with the clear objective of generating considerable value for shareholders.

The Bad
Since reporting our 2005 annual results in October of last year, the Company has suffered a number of setbacks. We have drilled two disappointing exploration wells, our share price has fallen by around 75% from its historic high and Philip Rhind, the Chief Executive, has been dismissed.

moneyman - 17 Apr 2006 23:18 - 132 of 934

AAIR - UK Analyst just tipped it

MDY - Alpesh Patel just tipped it.

TPA - Due a recovery

moneyplus - 18 Apr 2006 21:28 - 133 of 934

Good old Alpesh! I've bought into SFT today a possible multibagger according to some tipsters---yet another to add to my chinese portfolio! anyone else interested?

driver - 19 Apr 2006 14:06 - 134 of 934

mp
Well I hope you do better than me with your China stocks apologies again for tipping MDY no one could have seen that coming selling the company for less than half the current sp price its a con and a scam a lesson to us that small investors mean absolutely nothing to those in charge I got out quick with only a small loss after being up well over 100% a one stage. I have gone into GTL and spread the rest about lets hope I have better luck this time.

moneyplus - 19 Apr 2006 15:33 - 135 of 934

I'm out too-I don't blame anyone but myself for being greedy-I was well up and should've taken profits. Did take a small profit on one lot so my losses aren't too bad-nearly 2000 on my ISA which is a pain but hopefully PCM will make it up-soon!! put my sales into SEO and COST both may wake up soon. The chinese stocks are quite exciting --EBT results very soon and rising, the china carphone warehouse, CHNS--results out today and looking good, SFT-a very new float as yet pi's have not noticed how good the company is, BTX is really moving up now again a new float but into the chinese lottery etc so I'm sitting on this one, CEG-ofex but a great company the chinese are very keen to be educated, China Biotech-ofex--got some promising treatments good financial strength, EPE-again education and doing well, EPY- chinese mobile phone top ups-adding new agents like crazy and the next set of results should reveal the true worth of the company. also our good friend the sleeping beauty PCM. Surely one of these gems will rescue me from a life of toil and hardship!!!

driver - 20 Apr 2006 16:26 - 136 of 934

mp
Have you looked at CYC.

driver - 21 Apr 2006 16:35 - 137 of 934

GOO Came good today after the exploration licence for block XXI, got approval by the MINISTRY OF ENERGY AND MINES up 35+% not to late to get on board

Also a lot of action on PCM Results due out next week 28 April.

moneyplus - 21 Apr 2006 22:08 - 138 of 934

sold GOO for a small loss to add to my CHP-should've been more patient. Come on PCM-bring it on!! I was in CYC some time ago but moved on about evens as they weren't rising much-will come good eventually though I'm sure. I'm trying to pick the chinese companies with massive revenue potential thinking this will bring them market momentum--BTX is a no brainer to me knowing how the UK is football mad and the chinese market is worth 4 billion! EPY also will rely on agents supplying mobile top ups in huge market and EBT selling the phones!! the other ones might take a while to get market momentum but I'm hoping they will.
Also bought some TTC today following a certain fund manager who never seems to put a foot wrong--hope he knows what he's doing here as the research is not great reading! have a good weekend-MP.

After my disastrous week last week with MDY and my outing of ERT I have a need to start a new thread so I have check it out GTL

http://www.moneyam.com/InvestorsRoom/posts.php?tid=9848#lastread

moneyplus - 24 Apr 2006 11:57 - 140 of 934

EPY and BTX still rising-I've a good feeling about those two I think I'll keep adding-pity no one else seems to like them.

soul traders - 24 Apr 2006 12:09 - 141 of 934

Morning Driver,

Have been weighing up whether to offer my two-penn'orth for some time. Anyway, for what it's worth (approx one cup of tea and two digestive biscuits at international spot prices):

VOG - drilling news expected this month and next month from three well-sites.

Over the medium term, NOP both on NAV and forthcoming production grounds - current SP dip seems to be a good buying opportunity.

And if you're feeling wild, BLR - expecting to announce first production in Colombia some time in May, plus news of other drilling later in the year, although the Colombia news could be anywhere between pretty much indifferent and really rather exciting.

Enough said - the info's on the threads plus all the usual places and I know you'll DYOR.

PS my strategy inclines towards medium-term buy-and-hold. Day-traders may beg to differ on some issues.

driver - 24 Apr 2006 12:42 - 142 of 934

soul traders
Thanks for your first post I do have it from good authority that thousands read this thread but are afraid to post in fear that their tips go tits up but as you say DYO and theres no problem.
I do like the look of your BLR very small M/Cap I may have a closer look.

mp
Your EPY and BTX I like them and I would go in funds permitting.

hewittalan6 - 24 Apr 2006 12:58 - 143 of 934

For a touch of uninformed ramping / tipping how about XLT.
This company has done things the opposite way. Instead of finding a novel technology and then seeking to commercialise and find a use for it, they look for an area that needs new technology, source the technology to fit and then build a management team aimed at the market and technology they will be using.
Perhaps a touch overpriced at the moment but forecasts of good deals in the pipeline for this summer.
As always DYOR.
Alan

Thanks for the feedback, Driver. BLR is certainly very interesting - indeed, I think it could turn out to be one of the big surprises of the next 18 months, but it is certainly not for the nervous or widows and orphans.

moneyplus - 24 Apr 2006 13:07 - 145 of 934

some big buys going through for SFT today -so I've added to my holding could be a multi bagger according to lemming investor.

soul traders - 24 Apr 2006 13:11 - 146 of 934

A few people fancy SFT, Moneyplus- the Independent saw a very bright future for this a week or so ago. I'm not in it myself as I have other priorities but the opinion surrouding this one seems good.

Actually, I've just looked at the chart - impressive!
