Hello Me.
Soc.
I have just started a retail venture, so that is taking up my freetime.
Other than PRM I am not up to speed on much, Lionheart (LNT)is an interesting play at present.
They are due to be wound up next week and return cash to shareholders.
They have 1.60p in cash with a share price of 1.28 they have two items to settle which they will hold back some money for.
I expect an initial pay out of 1.30 then at a later date they will pay the remaining cash about 15p.
Could be a nice 10% with only a short term outlay.

Evening all, rainy Cheltenham today. Market up, Dow up at present. Despite the grey it's a blue day and it is most welcome. Even some of my small caps, well actually very small caps, have woken up and are moving north for the summer.
Hi lw, how's SA. I have a relative in-law out there, he's a brewmaster! Right up your street I'd have thought.

I was always advised if I wanted to take profits to sell off half and let the rest run. It would be nice to be in that situation I must admit!

8ball..I'm happy for you as you're in the black and have got the profit; whatever you do must be right as the in the bank says all.
Me, I'm stayin' and if I lose a few points will take that punishment on the chin although I think I will profit from delaying.
I've got a hell of a lot on this, its my numero uno and 25-50p extra share price could represent approx 100k difference; that would wipe out all the losses I've ever made plus a return whereas the downside is lose 10% of the present profit.
Have just bought another plot of land here, will build end of year; the Protea is the national flower of South Africa so may call new gaff "Proteum House",
whaddaya think????..lol...lw

Well done Saint Willie and 8 ball with your Prummie. I got squeezed out for a loss in the week when it was patently obvious that it was going to break the previous high.
It doesn't change anything though and I still think that it's a grossly overhyped and overvalued bag of wind. I've put my pin away for the minute but I'll be back to burst the bag. You can be sure of that. The story about Merrills being short of stock is rocking horse poo, btw ........ They've been firmly in control of the price and know what they're doing.

Thanks for that, lovely twosome; when the house is built [a year] it will be fantastic with heated pool, full size snooker room with darts, bar and braii and the position is number one on the estate. Both you and better halves will be welcome to stay as long as you want should you visit this fantastic land.
Our location is in the most beautiful area of the Country and you'll be positively stunned by it all.
Food & wine aren't to be sniffed at either.
Meanwhile our present smaller house will also offer the same hospitality should you so desire.
Have a good w/end....lw
ps sorry about your loss Minxie but know you'll recoup it, hopefully not from prm.

It's great to see you still in contact with the old country. If you stumble across a relative of mine, give him my regards. On second thoughts, he'd be about 100 years old by now so maybe best not bother.
Bit cold and blustery today, I will have to wrap up warm for my trip into town. See you all later.

Morning all
Think you will be up again on Tue LW, that was a nice 250k buy on Friday at 98p.
I see TRK is also picking up, that may be overpriced and overhyped Hil.
My Club holds that and I have never been that happy with holding it.

Socs...s'pose your rellie wouldn't be 'our Cecil' [Rhodes] or better still
'our Nelson'. Always happy to look someone up. Weather rainy here today but its warm rain, however no golf for me in these conditions. Fair weather fella these days....
8ball agree hopefully with first sentence, still long in trk but they did imho lose the plot by trying to sell direct to the motor manufacturer whereas I think the parts supplier should have been the route taken ie Borg Warner etc.
Fords, GM etc all showing huge losses so would stick to what they have preferring others to take the risks connected with a revolutionary new product.
I also worry that fuel cell is getting closer to reality therefore life span of trk is potentially limited, they have gained a few points last week so who knows. A breakthrough into the ome market would see the price go out of the window.....
Toney...can't raise my daughter or her fella to put money on for me, looks like I'm out of the punt.
Good luck to you, is it wet there?....lw

Good morning all you other stay-at-homes. It's a fine day, so far, here in Cheltenham. I shall be enjoying myself reading my favoutite book, "Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets". It's rivetting stuff so I may need the odd diversion to keep me awake.
'Her-indoors' is off to a postcard fair to spend her pocket money on some old postal memorabilia so I will be acting as chauffeur too. Life is one long joyous string of exciting events isn't it. Leftovers for lunch, my favourite. (Chef in the Cafe has the day off) but I'll make the tea.

Morning Socs,
If it's a fine day in Chelteners, I'm surprised that you're not out in the garden doing your white bits.

Sorry, would have answered earlier but been out on the duty run, 'her indoors' up to the Racecourse for the postcard bash.
I am happy to say, as regards the garden, that I have created it as ultra low maintenance. Therfore I have little or no reason to enter it. Since I suffer from hay fever and the sun gives me headaches this is a blessing to me. So I remain firmly white and my shorts are for keeping cool not getting tanned.
"Today I am mostly be reading Bollinger Bands".
(I actually prefer classical music but you have to give everything a try).
I feel quite comfortable with Bollinger Bands since I understand the mathematical principle behind it, standard deviations and all that stuff. Question is though, does it work?
I'm afraid the cafe has only left overs today, chef's day off, but I'll keep the kettle hot if anyone wants to pop in for a cuppa.
