NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.

They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.

New Millennium Makes Progress With Diamond Exploration In Angola And Greenland

New Millennium Resources has changed drastically over the last four years since its introduction to AIM when it was a rare earth exploration company with a project in Greenland and a unique process for extracting niobium which had been developed in a crockpot. Minews treated it as a bit of a joke at the time, but since it undertook a change of management and switched to diamond exploration in Greenland as well as Angola the company deserves to be taken more seriously. Angola is rich in diamond resources, as those who are prospecting there are finding out sooner or later, but it scores on a similar scale with difficulties so the emphasis has now turned to Greenland.

New Millennium originally scaled back its Greenland exposure to concentrate on Angola, leaving itself with a painful A$5.2million write off in the 2004 accounts, and a 20 per cent free carry in a joint venture with Hudson Resources of Canada. This JV was set up in December 2003 on New Millenniums Greenland Sarfartog lease.

Hudson Resources has just announced that all of three core tests in its area have returned significant diamond counts. This, says Hudson Resources, confirms that in situ material is the source of the significantly diamondiferous samples collected in the 2004 exploration program. It establishes, it adds, that the Garnet Lake area of the site hosts its own diamondiferous kimberlite body.

Further drilling has now commenced in an effort to expand the size of the discovery and to test other targets identified, but not yet drilled, during the earlier spring programme that concluded in May this year. The programme is to find outcropping of kimberlite along the strike, and take larger samples to as to gain a better idea of the size and quality of the diamonds.

Meanwhile the new top management team at New Millennium team John Cross as managing director and Shane Healy as financial officer are having to call fairly fully on their considerable combined mining and finance experience slogging away in Angola. Fortunately, Shane Healy says, historically we have not had a problem raising cash. The company has just raised 500,000 via the issue of 12.5m shares at 4p.

In December 2003 New Millennium announced the acquisition of a 100 per cent interest in Angola Resources for A$207,000 in cash, plus the issue of 18 million shares and options to purchase a further 10 million shares in New Millennium at A$0.20. The board made this decision on a lead time to cash flow basis believing that Angola Resources would produce cash flows sooner than other existing early stage projects.

New Millennium has since made considerable progress on the ground. Fully equipped working plant and equipment for mining alluvial diamonds was bought in South Africa last year for US$1.26million with funds from a private placing. This kit has been freighted up to join the US$2million worth of other equipment on the remote site. Mine and logistic management is in place.

So it now has a fully operational diamond mining plant and equipment on site at Rio Lapi. And it is very happy with its licence, in a rich area, downstream of Alrosas giant operating Catoca mine, and with Petra working to the south. Four rivers flow through the area, so there is no lack of water and there is an airport 54 kms to the south west and an all-weather road to Luanda.

Application has been made for a kimberlite exploration license to explore the eleven magnetic anomalies discovered on the lease. Getting that is likely to be a delicate task as prior preliminary work done on the site by Catoca for ENDIAMA, the Angolan government diamond arm, has shown it to be very promising indeed. As New Millenniums John Cross comments with obvious feeling: Competition in this region is fierce.

Given the urgency of identifying the kimberlite potential, and to speed up chances of a deal with a major partner, New Millennium has switched equipment over to the kimberlite prospect. Interest is already being shown. That has put the work in the alluvial project back six months, but the payoff should be worth it.

New Millennium is also keen for some good Angolan news that could lure in a major partner to help raise its profile in Londons mining finance scene. Currently it is parked with non-specialist brokers, Daniel Stewart, who seem more than a little unsure how to handle a diamond explorer. In the meantime the company reported earlier this month that Hudson Resources had hit kimberlite in all the holes drilled in its recent 2,000 metre programme and another area north-east of Garnet Lake has been found to contain very interesting kimberlite samples. One to watch.

takahe - showing your sensitivity a tad there (perhaps legitimately born of the particular environment in which you have to survive?) - why on earth does Sally's sex have anything to do with her reporting credentials? Haven't you seen the statisticsd reflecting women being better, less sentimental, investors than men? Only got to look at Dynamite (long time no post - don't blame you, how are you?) as a good example. Personally I have been content to accept a woman's capabilities since before I was born!

shareholdings. In that announcement David Johnston and Azizi Yom Ahmad were
incorrectly reported as holding 1,333,080 and 3,919,630 ordinary shares.

David Johnston held 1,883,080 ordinary shares on that date and still holds that
number, representing 1.1 per cent. of the Company's issued share capital.

Azizi Yom Ahmad held ordinary 6,919,630 shares on that date and still holds that
