I gather from the comments that ii or blinger are back - just ignore - they feed on your emails - whatever you say they have an answer and will just feed on it.

If you ignore them they whither and die

blinger - 14 Nov 2005 20:31 - 12762 of 27111

bit like SEO is withering by a tick a day????

Argue the point, don`t blame the posters please!!!

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:32 - 12763 of 27111

At 8p Bling I'd still be up....

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 20:32 - 12764 of 27111

Monumental destruction - I was being ironic. It was just that someone very firmly claimed that the price would crash TODAY. Not tomorrow, or the day after, but TODAY.
I was merely pointing out that even an intellect as supreme as theirs can get it wrong.
I get it wrong all the time, but I either don't make any wild claims or I say I have got it wrong.
Unfortunately I have that poster squelched now so I will not be able to read them admitting their mistake, but I am certain they will be big enough to do that.

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:33 - 12765 of 27111

I just can't see it though.... Other way, yep thats it look the other way mate!!!! Up Up I think it'll go.....

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:36 - 12766 of 27111

Alan, nice to see a real trader that admits we all make mistakes... I have had my share of losses but fortunatly have always remained up... Can't see any crashes coming though, well apart from that of the 's variety next year I'd say..

blinger - 14 Nov 2005 20:37 - 12767 of 27111

at 8p you "would be up explosive"- why didn`t you cash in at 30p then?
Seems an obviuous point?

ps ignore hewtitalan- he has no shares.

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:38 - 12768 of 27111

Agree with the wild claims also, rather reminds me of an old coal miner who to had too much to say....

blinger - 14 Nov 2005 20:40 - 12769 of 27111

explosive
answer please?

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 20:40 - 12770 of 27111

I've made some disasters in my time, explosive.
If you could see the state of my portfolio in about July of this year you'd either cry or laugh. It was horrendous. In a period of about 2 weeks I made every single call wrong and lost about 15%.
Recovered now, and made one or two good calls recently, but I don't want to crow, cos that would garauntee I'd be wiped out in 48 hours.LOL
Alan

blinger - 14 Nov 2005 20:42 - 12771 of 27111

hello explosive if you were in profit @ 8p, why did you not take the profit

No- conferring with hewtit` please, answer yourself--OVER!!!!

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:42 - 12772 of 27111

If I'd had known the sp would fall this far then maybe I would have. But to answer your question then I guess the real reason is I thought the sp would keep going higher. I still do believe in this share.

blinger - 14 Nov 2005 20:45 - 12773 of 27111

Ah , in love with a share then,
So you have lost a 500% profit sitting waiting????????????????????????-I doubt it, !!

Ramp on with Hewtit!!!!

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 20:45 - 12774 of 27111

With hindsight, explosive, many of us would have done the same, but with hindsight, we would all be millionaires by now.
I think the long term outlook for SEO is bright, but there will be ups and downs on the way, that is the nature of the markets. I aint clever enough to time them though.
Alan

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:48 - 12775 of 27111

Now now blinger, theres no conspirency here... I actully enjoy reading your posts and normaly flick through the others which on most occasions are info I already have... I think you give this thread a touch of comedy and spice...

Do you have shares in SEO? I guess not by your posts which leads me to my next question. If not why do you post here?????

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:52 - 12776 of 27111

Alan - I can sometimes time them. I average 40% a year on the markets and soon will trade for a living... There will always be ups and downs and some years your calls will be better than others. I think the trick is never get too comfortable or think you know it all.... Clearly you claim neither of these which I believe is its own reward....

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 20:57 - 12777 of 27111

Read my profile, explosive. I claim nothing more than a rudimentary understanding of the markets. I am a learner and think we all always will be.
The thread speaks for itself, if you go back far enough you will find me asking some real boneheaded questions (still do sometimes). But thank you for what I will take as a compliment.
I am still ridiculously jealous of 40% pa though ;-)
In my short time as an investor I think I have hit about half that, though most of my gains have come from lucky guesses!!
Best of luck doing it full time.
Alan

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 20:58 - 12778 of 27111

Blinger - hows your informed calling card then? If you believe your correct maybe we should start a new thread. How about a 90 day 5 share race... Highest profit wins... Or maybe if you like we'll do the same but in money terms and have a fantasy portfolio say 20K however you please? It would at the least give you credit on calling if nothing else..

explosive - 14 Nov 2005 21:09 - 12779 of 27111

Thankyou Alan, I have not read all your past posts and am surprised your new to trading. I enjoy posting here although I must admit at times I have felt a few have exploited the BB's. Wouldn't surprise me if Tom Bullford and others go by akas here to hype up a share for their subscribers!
I understand Blinger is a rather irritating sod however his posts do on occasion have some element of logic to them. I like to mainly skim the boards adding posts when I have something to add. Best of luck with your future trades, I hope you'll see through whats real and hype on the BB's with time also...

hewittalan6 - 14 Nov 2005 21:21 - 12780 of 27111

Thats one thing I think I learned pretty quickly, explosive!!
My formula is to ignore the 2 most irritating and obvious rampers and the 2 who do nothing but bait and laugh and read whats left (sometimes nothing).
There are some very good and informed people posting on here, such as driver, EWR, goldfinger, SD, Baza, Boz et al but some who are clearly around just to stir up trouble.
I used to take the trouble makers seriously and try to rationally debate with them, but have learned it is a pointless exercise, so I now treat them as they joke they are!
The downs of the market are just the price one has to pay for ones market education, and I look forward to the rises, not just for the money, but because jokers like ii and blinger finally bugger off to annoy someone else!
