Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

Graham Hind (CEO of BPRG) has said enough in public to let us know that the OTC deal should be finalised in February. People are simply turning rumour into fact. The day of release is not known. What is known apparently is that GH is in the States and is due back at the weekend. What does it mean? I don't know.

The hope is that the agreement will contain sufficiently good estimates of figures to give the bigger funds a reason to invest, otherwise we may retrace a bit. Having said that, this is a hot stock and moving faster than **** off a shovel....and there's plenty flying about on the BBs!

As the Count says, best to go away for a year and see how it looks in 2005. If I had the means......

I have no idea where the stock is going in the short term. But my style of investing meant I bought a massive amount when I regarded it to be cheap and on future promise....there were periods when even this stock was dead. I haven't bought with the crowd.

I really don't give a damn what short term traders do as that is not how I personally operate. I have not bought any significant amount of stock above 75p so I have the luxury of plenty of margin/cushion to play with.

And as I have said many times in my relatively short investing history...you only need to get one of these right to make it a life changing event. More than one and your head is definitely up in the clouds....among the stars.

So glad to hear that you have pulled back those losses. As you know, I had quite a bit to pull back to.....but in the end, if you have faith in what you are doing, you just put your head down and get to work.

By the way, do you still have an interest in BIP? Some respected posters are talking that one up at the moment and I'm not sure whether I should get involved.

At the rate of its share price depreciation, I should be able to buy THFC off ENIC with coffee money!!!!!

The announcement may coincide with USA opening at 1.30pm ie both markets see the effect of the rns at the same time.

Good point,however the FMC announcement was issued at 7 am. If no announcement today when there is so much expectation on it been today might see a fall back if it doesnt happen.

very interesting three weeks.

three weeks ago, FMC was a hopeful rumor and BPRG was trading for under 70p. THREE WEEKS AGO!!!

FMC is announced. Minimum $160 million in revenues and pundits expect $800+ million over the next 8 years.

FMC spent over one year performing due diligence...and had been looking elsewhere for a solution before they stumbled on BPRG.

Quite a vote of confidence in the NRobe technology. Please do not overlook the bit about FMC having a technology that dovetails nicely with NROBE.

Now, FMC already has a blue-chip pharmaceutical clientele and will likely add to that list with NRobe.

BPRG will CLEARLY ride the coattails of FMC into FMC's GLOBAL pharmaceutical customers with their other technologies.

That, I expect, is in addition to the rumored hook-up with Bristol Myers Squibb, which seems to be different than the OTC pharma letter of intent.

Don't forget that Bristol Myers Squibb was the first global pharma named in R&D with BPRG. Four or five additional global pharma's signed up on an "un-named" basis since Bristol was named almost 2 years ago.

If the deal is with Bristol Myers Squibb, then I expect that the four or five other global pharma's are not far behind Bristol Myers Squibb.

That would be in addition to the US OTC powerhouse.

And in addition to Conva-Tec.

All in all, the investment world is about to made aware of a little company that will own a tiny fraction of all the future encapsulation revenues of every major consumer prescription and OTC medication available for the next 20-30+ years.

Microsoft and other internet companies have tried for years to come up with the internet transaction for which they charge a fraction of a pence for each of the billions and billions of transactions. That is the golden goose for them.

Well, BPRG is about to do just that in a market that is even larger!

London Evening Standard page 48 - Market Report Friday 20th February...

"Bioprogress put on 4p to a record 159p. Dealers say the rise is being fuelled by talk of a tie-up with US drugs group Bristol-Myers Squibb."

After the recent price rise BPRG has moved from 28th to 9th fastest growing share price (over the last month) but it has the largest Cap - more of an achievement because as Jim Slater said "elephants don't gallop".

BPRG is followed immediately by Regal Petroleum, which is twice as large and therefore also bids competition for Wonder Stock of 2004. Both these shares are expect to move to respectable profitability in 2005, and then presumably, each price will retrench and consolidate.. I suppose it has always been better to travel hopefully in the market than to arrive.

BPRG which has brought so much excitement and enriched shareholders is up 534% since early June. Continued escalation of the share price at the same rate ie within the same trend - which is highly improbable - would see it as a x23 bagger by October. In fact this Wonder Stock has even broken out and upwards from this eight month trend, and since 2 Feb has accelerated to an average 6.25p p/day which is statistically unsustainable, (but NOT impossible) .

Capitalised at a current 162m this is already quite a large animal. Only Regal Petroleum at 326m is a larger beast galloping at comparable speed, and a little behind.

Once the X-Gel packaging machines start working on production without serious difficulties, It will already look like Stock of the Year - and three or four contracts down the line - Stock-of-the- Decade - if not by then contender for Stock-Of-All-Time.

GF - that is a bit of an hysterical piece! I think it would have to go some to beat the Oct 99 - Feb 2000 run of Baltimore Technologies. 2 to 140 in a few months - all on a few big-name contract announcements and a hyped up market. Mind you, a 70 bagger would be nice! BLM of course is now all but bust! Not saying BPRG is the same at all. The management of BPRG have cash and the potential for a lot more revenues. BLM borrowed all the way.

Nonetheless, I have skimmed some of my BPRG today (for a 263% profit) but still hold over a third of my pension fund in it.

Hi Bones yes I remember Baltimore I had over 12,000 of them and sold them at 79 a share. Think I bought them for less than 2 a share though.

Yup your right on the above its just to counteract the de-rampers (who have tried to spread false rumours) on our competitors prem B/Board who are trying to get more stock on the cheap.

if and when this big contract kicks in, has anyone anygood advice on what price it might go to or at what price to bail out once it starts to rise? THE CASHCAPTAIN!

I am wondering as well-it has done really well so don't want to be greedy! But if it is anything like CASH, I have been waiting and waiting..... to buy in on a price drop! beginning to think I will have to pay the current prices to get on board. I am holding my BPRG for the long term I think...

CC, its all a bit premature at the moment, but if and whren it happens instead og going the whole hog, why not just take the top 1/3rd off. Dont forget results are the 8th of March and we have certainly other possible deals on the way.

Last time if I can think back rightly we went up to about just short of 40% on the contract news and fell back to about 36.5% at the end of the day and then the day after we lost about another 4 or 5 % but since then it as been mostly northwards.

Certainly wouldnt sell the whole holding.

Taking a pounding from the MMs at the moment, but the wholw small cap market is down, suspect this is the bottom of the recent spike down and beleive the US will take us back up again from here this afternoon.
