Copious, on a Friday? I'll bet Copious was one of those that stabbed Caesar. With his mate Spacious, I'd give him plenty of room.

chocolat - 03 Sep 2004 17:54 - 12922 of 23498

I thought it was a Tuesday, Socks?

Socrates - 03 Sep 2004 18:51 - 12923 of 23498

chocolat
No, it's definitely Friday. It's the bank holiday that's thrown you off.

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 07:48 - 12924 of 23498

Good morning anyone and everyone. Here I am with a complete heart attack on a plate AKA a full English breakfast. Lovely, yummy and very satisfying.

Just taken her-indoors to to the bus station for her day out in the smoke, so I shall be lazing about and doing important things like surfing the net and drinking lots of tea.

jj50 - 04 Sep 2004 08:09 - 12925 of 23498

Morning Socs. Enjoy the "heart attack on a plate"! Sounds like the morning won't be too stressful which is as well with all that cholestorol on board!

I am off to do school run then trolley race then home. Catch you later

chocolat - 04 Sep 2004 11:06 - 12926 of 23498

G'morning Surfer Socks - just popped in for elevenosixes

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 11:46 - 12927 of 23498

That's unfortunate timing, just as I went out to pay my weekly sub to the lottery. Still I am back now and just hotting up some Lasagne in the microwavy thingy.

chocolat - 04 Sep 2004 11:59 - 12928 of 23498

Oooh, is it ready yet? Having fun outside dodging ladders and drains.

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 12:06 - 12929 of 23498

Yes it's ready, would you like some? I'm afraid its yesterdays left-overs that I'm warming up but it's good stuff. Ladders and drains sounds a bit worrying, what are you up to?

chocolat - 04 Sep 2004 12:36 - 12930 of 23498

It certainly is worrying, a pair of knobbly knees outside the kitchen window...but it's got something to do with the new bathroom above, I keep being reassured. I have a new hole in the ceiling to play with, so that's nice.
Oh, and so were the left-overs, thanks!

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 13:23 - 12931 of 23498

Ahhhhh. Oh I just had this sudden twinge of desire for a cup of tea and a chocolate digestive. No, no, I can't resist it.

optomistic - 04 Sep 2004 21:47 - 12932 of 23498

Socco, this must be the longest time for a response on this thread. Have to start packing for a weeks holiday in South Wales, being picked up at 0800 hrs tomorrow but must find time to pop in for a pint of Guiness. Have a good week all.
opto

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 22:04 - 12933 of 23498

Optomistic
South Wales is just around the corner. Have a day out in Hay on Wye if you like books.

optomistic - 04 Sep 2004 22:51 - 12934 of 23498

Suandersfoot Socco, thats the destination. Will be having a look all around that area. Hope they have text TVs or internet facilities in the vicinity, will try the library for internet. Anyway I'm all packed now surely another pint of Guiness and a large vessel of sherry trifle would not go amiss :-))
Anyone else in the cafe tonight?

optomistic - 04 Sep 2004 23:11 - 12935 of 23498

Ah well away to bed, good night to any late callers, and don't make too much of a mess remember someone has to clean it all up. Stormy not being here a lot of it falls on Bunny and she has enough to do looking after the kitchen and feeding all of us. Keep them all well fed Bunny and on HEALTHY food.
Night

jj50 - 04 Sep 2004 23:14 - 12936 of 23498

Evening Socs, Opto. Have a good stay in South Wales opto. Shall keep my fingers crossed for good weather!

It must have been GDs sister's wedding today so if it was like here, she would have had lovely sunshine. Hope so.

Saturday night and waiting to do the chauffeuring when summoned so had better be a cup of strong coffee. What would you two like to drink?

jj50 - 04 Sep 2004 23:15 - 12937 of 23498

Night, night opto. Shall leave it tidy and locked up, promise.

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 23:16 - 12938 of 23498

Suandersfoot, I've never heard of it, do you mean Saundersfoot near Tenby? I guess that would be a bit of a trip to Hay on Wye, about 90 miles. Still I reckon you can have nice trip to the Mumbles, all that sea and sand. Lovely.

Opto, I know its Wales but they do have TV and internet there, they even have piped water and flushing toilets. I don't know what you've heard but Wales is not that remote and undeveloped.

jj50 - 04 Sep 2004 23:17 - 12939 of 23498

Think he has headed off Socs ..... another drink, more trifle?

Socrates - 04 Sep 2004 23:25 - 12940 of 23498

jj
Always more trifle thanks, just can't get enough of the stuff.

Just been out to pick up her-indoors back from the smoke. Quick trip to the bus station and back, in the dark too, evenings really are drawing in. When do the clocks change again?
