Traders Thread - Monday 24th August (TRAD)

CC - 24 Aug 2015 13:49 - 13 of 19

For what it's worth I don't think the world has changed since last week and the dust will settle in a couple of days. The correction in the Chinese equity market was probably necessary and whilst there will be large swings I suggest it will start to stabilise in a week.

So, China is only growing at 6.x% instead of 7.x%. It's hardly a surprise and perhaps in some small way is because the rest of the world has learnt to compete better. If UK manufacturing is being repatriated then that's good news surely

skinny - 24 Aug 2015 14:12 - 14 of 19

DOW dropped another 100 - FTSE down 5.82%.

To put that in context, the FTSE lost 5.42% on Black Friday.

A bit of a bounce on the DOW - now only down 3.06%.

lol Skinny. Bouncing higher so they can sell it off later from a higher point? I dunno. I'm fully invested so not much I can do but watch and rotate my portfolio around a bit

Yes - some serious money to be made today for the brave (lucky).

Closing Market Summary

10th down day completed. Dow "only" down 600 today.

Let's see what happens in China overnight.
