land ahoy....landround (LDR)

CAPT BLIGH - 17 Jul 2003 17:01

Jumped into this bullet proof little number today, mind you its had an incredible run, so I might have missed the big rise. Still if they keep using large chunks of cash to buy shares for the Employee Trust it seems like a no brainer. Anyway adding these to my new "safe" portfolio with ELECO PTI and CKN

hrfulleruk - 11 Jun 2004 11:06 - 13 of 35

A few months ago,the founder Michael Crompton, sold a lot of his holding to increase liquidity and satisfy institutional demand.Several years ago,the founder of Betterware,Stanley Cohen, sold a big stake at over 3.00 for the same reason.Later they fell to below 40p but he took them private at over 1.00.Now Landround have had a big fall the same could happen here.

Kivver - 11 Jun 2004 12:26 - 14 of 35

Or have they been oversold and we are in for a rebound as per proteome sciences (prm). This was tipped in shares magazine as a share of the year, they must have something to say next week.

Morgan Stanley deal explains a lot.

beaufort1 - 15 Jun 2004 13:36 - 17 of 35

Good solid director purchase today at 225p should help to steady the ship.

ajren - 15 Jun 2004 17:21 - 18 of 35

Morgan Stanley = success.I think so in this case.

tompeck - 21 Jun 2004 11:32 - 19 of 35

+2.60 and climbing, aj. Nice to see it recovering.

beaufort1 - 21 Jun 2004 14:16 - 20 of 35

Yes it'll recover, but probably not as far as 375 or whatever. It shows poor judgement on the management's part that they made such a major error. What's to say it won't happen again?

Kivver - 22 Jun 2004 10:58 - 21 of 35

shares mag says its a knock back but nothing to stop it doing well in the future (but they would say that woundn't they).

The Oxman - 19 Jan 2005 11:57 - 22 of 35

a little while ago shares magazine suggested a run to 360-380p area was possible given resumption of encouraging trading and chart recovery - 8p ex div now out of the way and AGM due end of Jan so fingers crossed - sub 10x rating looks low to me given where its historically traded. should be at least 20% upside from 280p levels - I like the story and some yield/chartrecovery to go for - any views out there?

talltalk - 19 Jan 2005 18:01 - 23 of 35

The Oxman - 21 Jan 2005 13:14 - 24 of 35

some modest buying starting ahead of AGM statement at end of next week - should break above 300p methinks - anyone else watching this one?

The Oxman - 18 Feb 2005 15:28 - 25 of 35

agm delayed to Feb 28th - shares look to be rallying ahead of this now - 300p level now support - so could finally see our run to 360p. any other holders out there?

The Oxman - 23 Feb 2005 12:06 - 26 of 35

good positive agm today and shares up - ready for their run to 360p or better I hope - statement is brief but reads well - hopefully any upgrades on half year will provide the next big push. any other views out there? very quiet board.

The Oxman - 13 Apr 2005 11:18 - 27 of 35

shares have held stable around 350p for a while next push higher only a matter of time now - move back above 400p now a real possibility.

The Oxman - 05 May 2005 12:10 - 28 of 35

hit big time by small cap sell off - great opportunity now at 280p

malawi - 02 Aug 2006 09:57 - 29 of 35

Check this one out...2 stakebuilders and low cap.Tight market. Skies the limit IMHO

hrfulleruk - 02 Aug 2006 12:21 - 30 of 35

Moxon,director,bought 100,000 yesterday and now owns 7.5%.
These are down from 300p and now just 35p.I agree;great potential.

hrfulleruk - 14 Oct 2007 11:42 - 31 of 35

Lots of big trades going through.Poised for take off at 18p.

hangon - 15 Nov 2007 17:53 - 32 of 35

Can anyone say why the huge collapse in 2005?
Sorry it wasn't on my watch-list and the above posts seems to avoid mentioning anything untoward.
It can't have been the oil-price, or additional security reducing passenger numbers - can it?
Hope someone knows . . .
