why the drop in stanelco? (SEO)

bosley - 16 Dec 2003 13:25

anybody got any idea why stanelco are dropping ? i can only see good things for this company and fail to see why they should be falling.
anybody know why .......or is it just profit taking?

bosley - 23 Dec 2003 16:37 - 13 of 50

i posted the thread, apple, and i agree it is out of date now . i think ruthie should start a new one ,. being the new girl and all that . so , go on ruthie start a new one . glad to see talks with sainsbury's going well . that one could be the start of a wonderful domino effect , as i seem to remember reading about mac. d's being interested as well when i first read about stanelco in the express

We don't need a new thread, just a new title.

Janus, or whoever you may be under that name!! Not a bit worried from a SEO angle, but if BPRG fail on the court case action, then look for big problems for them. They had to 'go' for SEO's technology somehow, they tried talking to them and it got nowhere, SEO would have none of it, so BPRG have only one option imv, that's one reason they are doing so.

SEO have the design rights to a rf sealing head as far as I can make out.

I was into BPRG, now I'm not, made a heavy loss on the first deal, but mitigated it somewhat with buying and selling on their way up. But I am a holder of SEO. Reason for that might be because SEO could very closely mimic BPRG's XGel and with rf sealing would be in the stronger position going to market.....we shall see!

Up another 0.50p so far today, starting to look like red hot penny shares tip of 10p could be right, I hope.

roma - 29 Dec 2003 16:43 - 17 of 50

Oh well it still ended up 0.25p up, the profit takers moved in as expected, we will just have to carry on watching closely.

bosley - 30 Dec 2003 11:52 - 18 of 50

glad to see good news flow on this share . am into this one for the long term as i can only see good things. the court case only affects a small part of what stanelco do . nice to see this company in a few news papers, daily express this morning and mail on sunday. i think the price will fluctuate a lot ( profit takers) but it will rise nice and steadily so look mid to long term on this .

apple - 30 Dec 2003 13:16 - 19 of 50

bosley

What did the daily express say?

Digital Look usually provides links to newspaper stories for individual shares shares but doesn't seem to link to the express.

SEO having another good day today.

roma - 30 Dec 2003 16:38 - 20 of 50

Perhaps the (Share Whisper) in the Daily Express : Stanelco (Rumours of deal with major food company) helped today, as the shares increased again.
having a good run at the moment,on their way to the 10p tipped,I hope, still getting the profit takers as expected, also a few nervious sellers, could be a little bumpey, but worth it in the end hopefully, good luck in whatever you decide!

bosley - 05 Jan 2004 08:57 - 21 of 50

apple. the story was about a possible deal or link to a major supermarket ( probably sainsburys).

roma - 14 Jan 2004 08:59 - 22 of 50

TIMES: Today reported company is seeking 2 min stg, via a 1-12 rights issue at 3p a share.

bosley - 14 Jan 2004 15:19 - 23 of 50

roma, whats a 2 min stg? i havent seen the report in the times , just read that the company will be making an annoucement tommorow about the recent press speculation.

apple - 14 Jan 2004 15:54 - 24 of 50

Share opened down but has recovered, good support for price even with that news.

I wonder this could be good news tomorrow.

Bosley, stg (sterling) Regards.

apple - 15 Jan 2004 12:52 - 27 of 50

Small rights issue.

Does anyone know how I get the new shares when my existing shares are in a nominee ISA account?

Janus - 15 Jan 2004 16:32 - 28 of 50

Apple, In a rights issue your broker should be in touch with you to to tell you how many shares you have been allocated and asking how many, if any, you wish to take up. It doesnt matter if its a nominee account or you hold paper shares.

apple - 15 Jan 2004 21:17 - 29 of 50

Thanks

apple - 19 Jan 2004 11:08 - 30 of 50

Due to the rights issue I have had

Stanleco Plc New Ord 0.1p Nil Paid shares credited to my on-line account.

EPIC is SEON

NO INFO is forthcoming from my on-line broker.

Bid Price for nil paid is 1.75
Offer Price for nil paid is 2.25

Obviously below the normal price because they are nil paid.

Can any body tell me what I have to pay for each to convert them & how I do it or if I can just sell my rights & how.

When I click to trade, it says that they can't be traded online.

I can't get through to my on-line broker on the phone.

angi - 19 Jan 2004 12:15 - 31 of 50

Apple, if you can't get through to your broker on the phone you need a new broker. There are several who offer phone and online dealing, infact I'm amazed that any don't.

apple - 19 Jan 2004 12:31 - 32 of 50

Mine does but I can't get through.
