Yes Super - but it needs commercial nous to exploit the programmer's end-product. Tad management seem bereft of such talent.

Steig had been there 4 months and we have already had a $2.8m deal doesn't seem to be doing too badly. One of those every 4 months and we'll all be laughing our way to the bank

yuff,
1. Market makers are laughing all the way to the bank on a day when volumes are high and spreads are wide.
2. Gem are laughing all the way to the bank when they subscribe to stock at a 10% discount to bid price and immediately sell it.
3. The former directors are laughing all the way to the bank becuase they draw large salaries, haven't lost any of their own money on a dwindling share price and never delivered anything except loss after loss after loss.
Shareholders are not laughing all the way to the bank i'm afraid and I see no reason why they should be in the next 12 months.
Take a look at the chart at the top of the page, yes that's it, that downhill ski slope, yes the one with the blue lines and the red lines representing the moving averages, see the shareprice it's very south of both moving averages.
regards to all

I have to agree Snappy. Tad management have not done enough to halt a steady decline in the sp. A couple of small contracts have not changed investor sentiment - nor has the sp's under-performance had an iota of effect on the directors' salaries.

If such computer programmes worked to any useful extent, the programmers would have done everything in their power to keep it secret and make a fortune from it directly for themselves. As Rod points out, 'programmers ain't stupid'.

to elaborate a little on the theme of computer programmes.....they seem to be little or no better than tipsters.
ie
WHY tip shares you think are going to be winners.....
answer
because any followers you have will BUY.....BINGO.....up she goes.
WOW.......a GURU
so how come hardly any tipsters buy shares ( a few notable exceptions eg Mike Walters, Watson Mitchell ).
IF a computer programme can give buy/sell signals, WHO programmed it? HOW? with what criteria?
AND WHY WOULD THEY SELL THE GOOSE THAT LAID THE GOLDEN EGG?
DO IT YOURSELF ( unless you like blame culture )

I've asked on iii, so I'll ask here as well-
How does this chime in with the exclusivity agreement we have with Softbank?
Does it mean the new guy can only push AppsX, or is it a (very) early 'getting Tadpole's face known' arrangement prior to the Softbank exclusivity deal expiring?

I should add though that at least the present management now have a direct equity interest in the business, which is a big improvement over the previous management.
Still not convinced this company is ever going to go anywhere though but at least Westerberg will lose out too if it goes down the pan.

Maybe its because he speaks fluent Japanese!
Its always best to have a local man do the business.

Superrod,
No idea-I was looking for others' views.
ML,
Extremely difficult to do business in Japan without a thorough grounding in Japanese culture. I once attended a meeting with some high-powered westernised Japanese managers working for our Japanese joint venture company. We were given a two hour talk beforehand about what to expect and how to explain that we didn't have individual business cards, bow properly etc.
It turned out that they were too westernised to expect the usual rituals. However, the subordinates never spoke without getting the nod from the boss. Whenever the boss mis-spoke, he literally slapped himself around the face.
Different people, different ways.
