Bunny's Beer Basement (BEER)

stockbunny - 30 Dec 2008 08:02

OK temporary accomodation for us ex-pats of Spacie's coffee house that is sadly now boarded up and in memory of Goldie's old pad the tearooms.

No fancy stuff, as this is temporary until we find a nice new place but it's warm down here with the fire and aga and I've organised a daily guinness, lager and wine delivery. There is a small kitchen in the corner and a few comfy cosy armchairs.

So feel free to take refuge when you need a break - self-service generally I'm afraid but when I can I'll rustle up a meal :>)

Oh, oh........flames!

robertalexander - 11 May 2009 16:42 - 1306 of 4886

can i have a piece of charcoal then please. better have some coffee to help
a) put the flames out &
b) take the burnt taste away.
Will get my missus to rustle up some flap jacks for tomorrow[ she won't let me in the kitchen since my last Alfred impression which cost me a new baking tray and 4 hours cleaning the oven out!!!

KEAYDIAN - 11 May 2009 17:03 - 1307 of 4886

Hmmm good morning - someone's changed the decor in the kitchen to brown/black walls and ceiling !?! Don't like that I'll re-paint it, just start by washing it down first................................................................................

That's odd, naff paint this! Comes off when you wash the walls! Something bought cheap no doubt...oh well soon have my nice pink walls back then...................

..............................................................................................

.................................................................................

(time elapsing....)

....................................................................................................

Excellent back to pink walls and lilac ceiling, much better :>)

kimoldfield - 12 May 2009 07:38 - 1310 of 4886

Good morning Bunny. Mmmm, nice smell of fresh paint in here, tinged with a hint of burnt cake! Feeling in the pink today; I'll have a large cuppa if I may please Bunny.

Thanks Bunny, looking forward to a nice slice later!

Mmm, these are good Alex, can't decide which is my favourite, so would you mind if I tried another one of each?

robertalexander - 12 May 2009 08:29 - 1314 of 4886

KEAYDIAN - 12 May 2009 09:48 - 1318 of 4886

:O)

stockbunny - 12 May 2009 10:08 - 1319 of 4886

I was really disappointed this morning.....for years when they were young we used to play a game with the lads when we were on a long car journey of Spot The Eddie Stobart Lorry. It was a great way of keeping them occupied and as there were so many of them about - much of our travel was up and down the M1 - it broke up what could have been really long journeys.

However this morning I learnt that it's not run by a Mr Eddie Stobart at all - that smashed a long held illusion of mine :>(

optomistic - 12 May 2009 10:37 - 1320 of 4886

True Bunny and they have even changed the design on the trucks!
Not only that but the new owners are into buying airports....tut tut!
Quick tea please then I'm on my way out....

KEAYDIAN - 12 May 2009 10:47 - 1321 of 4886

(sluuuurp) oops

:O)

stockbunny - 12 May 2009 11:00 - 1322 of 4886

It's appalling isn't it and they didn't even consult us ;>)

Quick tea before you disappear out Opto

I'm doing chicken curry (mild madras) for lunch with naan bread or basmati rice I'll save you a portion :>)

KEAYDIAN - 12 May 2009 12:26 - 1323 of 4886

Is it ready? (sniff snif) I'm a bit Hank.

kimoldfield - 12 May 2009 13:07 - 1324 of 4886

Quick, give K some curry before he becomes a Shadow of his former self!
