"I'm not willing to further post publically regarding the STARPOL TM situation because when I do I am subjected to insults from posters making valid points from my position of ignorance. When I have answered those posts my answers have been ignored and the posters have then attacked, quite correctly some other point I have made. "

What a laugh I've just had reading the last three pages of this string... Reminded me of the muppets show the battle between Oblomov and Red, and Blinger the comical host to it all....

insiderinside - 29 Nov 2005 04:18 - 13085 of 27111

the board changes - IMO - back up Shares mag - and my rumour - that things are going wrong - GS problems - GS+Starpol problems - the old team have now been changed - and new blood promoted - to try to stop the rot - it is - IMO - an acknowledgment - by SE0 - things are going very wrong -

for me - and many others - the ramping over the ciggie filter - was enough to say - everything on other fronts - was all going wrong -

have latest broker forecasts - been downgraded again - on PBT and revenue - for next year ? -

going down - in all aspects - for SE0 - ?

All IMO - DYOR !!

Greyhound - 29 Nov 2005 08:54 - 13090 of 27111

ii - out of curiosity, what's your stop-loss to close your short?

greekman - 29 Nov 2005 09:14 - 13091 of 27111

Just perhaps, Mr Wagner decided that being a big fish in a small pool, with the prospects of that pool getting much bigger, was a better prospect than being a smaller fish in a pool that is already as big as it's going to get. If you see what I mean. ( This did make sense when I first read it ).

bhunt1910 - 29 Nov 2005 09:29 - 13092 of 27111

Know what you mean - there is no decision - always better to be a gig fish in a big pond - but failing that - a big fish in a little pond is more rewarding and usually more fun.

I think reading the origional appointment of Martin is a good idea.

Firstly it shows he has only been part of Stanelco for 4 months, and he has already been promoted, a good sign of his worth to us.

Secondly he was taken on origionally "with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000", and now he is in charge of it, "Ian Balchin, Executive Vice-Chairman Stanelco plc commented: 'I am delighted that Martin has accepted this role to lead Stanelco through the commercialisation phase of the Company's development."

Stanelco PLC
01 August 2005

1st August 2005

Stanelco plc ('Stanleco')

Director Appointment

Stanelco plc, the RF applications Group, is delighted to announce the
appointment of Martin Wagner as Commercial Director of Stanelco RF Technologies
Ltd with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging
technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000.

Martin was previously Head of Packaging Development at ASDA Stores Limited where
he has spent the last 5 years heading up a number of different commercial teams
delivering both significant savings to the business and leading ground breaking
strategic initiatives, and was directly involved in ASDA's adoption of the
GREENSEAL technology project. Martin brings to Stanelco his experience of
working directly in the food and beverage supply industry as well as the
healthcare and pharmaceutical industries at director level.

GREENSEAL is Stanelco's technology for sealing lids on to food trays and sealing
thermoformed food packs. Almost all heat-sealing requires the use of laminated
materials; these are up to 20% more expensive and uneconomic to recycle.
GREENSEAL works on more environmentally responsible materials that are lower
cost and economic to recycle. In addition GREENSEAL can seal through
contamination of the seal area, solving the major cause of rejected product.

Starpol 2000 is a range of low cost, food contact approved, biodegradable
materials that can be run on conventional thermoforming equipment to form food
packaging. Trays made from this material are suitable for MAP (modified
Atmosphere Packaging) used to preserve food quality and extend shelf life.

Martin Wagner commented:

'I am looking forward in particular to making a major contribution to the
adoption of Stanelco's GREENSEAL Technology and Starpol 2000 packaging materials
within the food and retailing industries.'

Ian Balchin, CEO Stanelco plc commented:

'We are delighted that Martin has accepted this role. Martin is superbly placed
to assist us in optimising the delivery of GREENSEAL to ASDA and other
customers. In addition, Martin's appointment will help us with our planning for
the prospect of a significant take up of our Starpol 2000 material within the
retail sector.'

NOW!!!! IS THE TIME TO BUY!!!

hewittalan6 - 29 Nov 2005 11:02 - 13095 of 27111

uh?

bhunt1910 - 29 Nov 2005 11:24 - 13096 of 27111

Crazy - I agree with you but I cannot support it with any facts or figures at the moment - so remains a hunch. However - despite its lowly price - and lack of news - I just think that this is about to turn round. I have backed my own hunch with my own money and topped up with a few (not loads) more @ 13.75

Baza.

hewittalan6 - 29 Nov 2005 11:57 - 13097 of 27111

Baza,
I'm still positive on SEO, and would not dream of saying that buying now is a bad move. Like you, I think the next RNS re trials,Asda, Wm, FDA or the like will be a blockbuster, but I was wondering what it is that makes Crazy so certain, right now.
