I think reading the origional appointment of Martin is a good idea.

Firstly it shows he has only been part of Stanelco for 4 months, and he has already been promoted, a good sign of his worth to us.

Secondly he was taken on origionally "with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000", and now he is in charge of it, "Ian Balchin, Executive Vice-Chairman Stanelco plc commented: 'I am delighted that Martin has accepted this role to lead Stanelco through the commercialisation phase of the Company's development."

Stanelco PLC
01 August 2005

1st August 2005

Stanelco plc ('Stanleco')

Director Appointment

Stanelco plc, the RF applications Group, is delighted to announce the
appointment of Martin Wagner as Commercial Director of Stanelco RF Technologies
Ltd with a remit to assist in the commercialisation of Stanelco's food packaging
technologies including GREENSEAL and Starpol 2000.

Martin was previously Head of Packaging Development at ASDA Stores Limited where
he has spent the last 5 years heading up a number of different commercial teams
delivering both significant savings to the business and leading ground breaking
strategic initiatives, and was directly involved in ASDA's adoption of the
GREENSEAL technology project. Martin brings to Stanelco his experience of
working directly in the food and beverage supply industry as well as the
healthcare and pharmaceutical industries at director level.

GREENSEAL is Stanelco's technology for sealing lids on to food trays and sealing
thermoformed food packs. Almost all heat-sealing requires the use of laminated
materials; these are up to 20% more expensive and uneconomic to recycle.
GREENSEAL works on more environmentally responsible materials that are lower
cost and economic to recycle. In addition GREENSEAL can seal through
contamination of the seal area, solving the major cause of rejected product.

Starpol 2000 is a range of low cost, food contact approved, biodegradable
materials that can be run on conventional thermoforming equipment to form food
packaging. Trays made from this material are suitable for MAP (modified
Atmosphere Packaging) used to preserve food quality and extend shelf life.

Martin Wagner commented:

'I am looking forward in particular to making a major contribution to the
adoption of Stanelco's GREENSEAL Technology and Starpol 2000 packaging materials
within the food and retailing industries.'

Ian Balchin, CEO Stanelco plc commented:

'We are delighted that Martin has accepted this role. Martin is superbly placed
to assist us in optimising the delivery of GREENSEAL to ASDA and other
customers. In addition, Martin's appointment will help us with our planning for
the prospect of a significant take up of our Starpol 2000 material within the
retail sector.'

NOW!!!! IS THE TIME TO BUY!!!

hewittalan6 - 29 Nov 2005 11:02 - 13095 of 27111

uh?

bhunt1910 - 29 Nov 2005 11:24 - 13096 of 27111

Crazy - I agree with you but I cannot support it with any facts or figures at the moment - so remains a hunch. However - despite its lowly price - and lack of news - I just think that this is about to turn round. I have backed my own hunch with my own money and topped up with a few (not loads) more @ 13.75

Baza.

hewittalan6 - 29 Nov 2005 11:57 - 13097 of 27111

Baza,
I'm still positive on SEO, and would not dream of saying that buying now is a bad move. Like you, I think the next RNS re trials,Asda, Wm, FDA or the like will be a blockbuster, but I was wondering what it is that makes Crazy so certain, right now.

Baza, I have a hunch (not quasimodo style like ii stooped over his pc screen) too, that we will have a trading update or some other news tomorrow(monthend) or thursday (start of December)

Erik the Red

bhunt1910 - 29 Nov 2005 12:51 - 13099 of 27111

Would be good to get an update - good or bad - so that we can re assess our riskd. When I spoke to SEO earlier in the week, they confirmed that a close statement was due out soon - so that could tie in with later this week - then again - soon could mean another 2 or 3 weeks.

Baza

Red Erik - 29 Nov 2005 13:03 - 13100 of 27111

Baza, in that case I will stick with my prediction

The update should give us plenty to discuss at least, they were without doubt holding back the air pillows news for the update, they should really have announced such a big deal, so the update must be very soon, maybe they are just waiting to seal another deal before releasing the update

Is that ii or some other big shorter going for it, with sells of 567 then 345 then 2 x 223 shares ?

Red Erik - 29 Nov 2005 14:04 - 13102 of 27111

Maybe its code ?

567 = hello (?)
345 = yes I am here (?)
223 = news at 2:23 (?)
223 = definately at 2:23 (?)

Only 20 minutes to find out if I broke the code

Eric the Red

Red Erik - 29 Nov 2005 14:38 - 13103 of 27111

Ok, not the right code

Who would sell small amounts like that in sequence ?

I still think it's code

Be easier to pick up the phone, wouldn't it, or do you always communicate by sharedealing?

driver - 29 Nov 2005 17:24 - 13105 of 27111

Your all wrong its baza topping up.

blinger - 29 Nov 2005 18:20 - 13106 of 27111

There is a cartoon of explosive on the loo "exploding" somewhere , see if I can find it-lol

The meatballs and Scandinavian connections above remind me of the saying (H.Littleton)---

"As the meatball of gluttony sinks into the slough of gravy, and the Swede is mashed in the exit of Ikea---------"

Red Erik - 29 Nov 2005 19:16 - 13108 of 27111

Oblomov, some people who trade also work for MM's, Brokers, Analysts, even the company itself, they cannot communicate by phone, as all calls are recorded, and a large number ban the use of Mobile Phones at work, because insider dealing by someone from say EVO, would lead to a huge fine for the company(as before ?), and the individual would be fired

Much easier to use coded messages in trades, people have been doing that for years, if they thought it was easier and safer to pick up the phone, I'm sure they would

FSA hands out 33,000 fines for insider trading

The Financial Services Authority has fined an equity analyst, formerly at Evolution, the stockbroker, and a former finance director of I Feel Good, the Aim-traded publisher of Viz, for insider trading.
Andrew Procter, director of enforcement at the FSA, said: "Selective dissemination of confidential information and its misuse by market participants will not be tolerated by the FSA."
It has now fined six individuals this year for market abuse but this is the first time the FSA has fined individuals for abusive dissemination of information.
The FSA fined Robin Hutchings, at the time an equity analyst at Evolution Beeson Gregory, 18,000 for buying shares for his own use during April 2003 in I Feel Good after speaking with Jason Smith, a friend and ex-colleague who was also IFG's company secretary and finance director.
Mr Smith was privy to takeover discussions between Dennis Publishing and IFG. He confirmed to Mr Hutchings that IFG had accepted a bid from Dennis before it was made known to the market in May. Mr Smith was fined 15,000 by the FSA.
Mr Procter said: "This action demonstrates that we view equally seriously the activities of those who pass on information. This action should concentrate the minds of all those who handle relevant information on their responsibilities."
Mr Hutchings' fine is the second biggest levied against an individual for market abuse. The FSA said if he had not co-operated with the FSA by agreeing to settle the matter the fine would have been "substantially larger".
The FSA said Mr Hutchings did not consult Evolution's compliance department about any of his purchases "although he was aware that he was in possession of price-sensitive information, and deliberately staggered his share purchases to avoid detection".
Evolution said yesterday: "We can confirm that Mr Hutchings worked at the company from November 21 2002 to December 3 2003. The matter is one personal to Mr Hutchings who has now left
the company. Evolution has provided full assistance to the FSA's investigation of this matter."
Last month, Evolution was fined 500,000 by the FSA for market distortion after it sold short [sold shares it did not own] equivalent to 2.5 times the shares available in Room Service, an Aim-traded cash shell. The fine was the second biggest levied on a company by the FSA for market abuse.
The FSA also fined Christopher Potts, Evolution's head of marketmaking, 75,000 - its highest fine against an individual for market abuse. Mr Potts has since left Evolution

I wonder if ther are share employee share options - or indeed employes selling share options for xmas money ??

Red Erik - 30 Nov 2005 00:10 - 13111 of 27111

Maybe someone used to use numeric pager codes, anyone else had any experience of such systems ?

Compare them to the numbers I posted earlier, they look like the type of cryptic thing Flange(?) or radioactiveman would send

Red Erik - 30 Nov 2005 00:14 - 13112 of 27111

Baza, why sell 32 shares or 100 or even 345, at 13.5p to 13.75p if they work for the company they would surely be in the best position to know what news was coming and when it was likely to happen, and they would get a much better price.

On the other hand are they allowed to sell any at the moment anyway ?
