hilary - 10 Sep 2004 10:45 - 13188 of 23498

Amber,

I recall about 30 years ago, one of the Gold brothers (not sure if it was Jackie's dad or uncle) drove into my father's car. It was his fault but the damage to my father's car amounted to nothing more than a little scratch on the bumper which my father wasn't worried about as it was a firms car anyway. My father went round to the back of the car and was about to say that it wasn't worth worrying about, when the Gold brother pulled out a massive wad of notes and gave my father 150. That was a lot of money in those days.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 10:50 - 13189 of 23498

No..can't think of a way to work suspenders into the whole bean bag
affect - oh yes we live well down here in the burrow! LOL

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 10:51 - 13190 of 23498

Blimey Hils, sounds a good deal to me, lucky dad. better find out where he drives round now, maybe I could get a quick touch. No on the car of course, didnt know how else to word it! Mind you if it was 30 years ago ...
