Market Report.
"Technology firm Stanelco, which has previously secured deals with supermarket group ASDA for it's tray lid technology, served up a 1.25p rise to 14p on brisk trading amid rumours it was set to announce a tie-up with a major American fast-food chain"

We have known for a long time that Stanelco had links to McDonalds, lets hope The Daily Express are not grasping at straws again.
Here is one ancient example of the McDonalds link
Stanelco
Shares in Stanelco (3.25p) rose 1p last week on news that the company has developed a technology that will enable shoppers to buy their vegetables in bio-degradable trays made of potato starch. The announcement reportedly attracted the attention of supermarket J Sainsbury, as well as McDonald's, the fast food chain.

Apparently McDonalds have been interested, especially since the conference out in the US in October.
Heard there has been quite a bit of activity since then, be it very preliminary so far.....that can always change I suppose!

Just looking at their facts, and they say there are 30,000 McDonalds in over 100 countries. Turnover last year was $19Bn. Net profit of $2.3Bn. $1.4Bn in cash
Would be a very big deal if it's true

Bugz, maybe The Daily Express got the rumour from a BB poster, remember the Tetrapak rumour that was in the press, it helped the SP go to 30p earlier this year, then nothing materialised. Also the Wal-Mart deal on the BB's at the same time, with one poster claiming his brother worked for Premier, and that didn't materialise either.
I won't be counting my chickens just yet

bugz and sellsell, I guess it depends which product they are going to use, it's not certain that it will be Starpol 2000, it could be 3000 and I heard that may not need FDA approval

We are waiting FDA approval.
We are waiting Asda results.
We were once awaiting Walmart signing a contract. ( Thats gone quiet recently ).
No matter how good Wagner may be, he left Asda for Stanelco and Stanelco would not have made that move if it was detrimental to their progress, maybe it will be good for both companies.
We are waiting to know how many machines are being converted.(Big bucks).
Which one of these is going to be the holy grail.
Anwer.
None of them, the city want to see earnings, Dollars Pounds Euros coming through the door, and until the bottom line shows this we will remain waiting.
All we can hope is that some of these earnings have already hit the bottom line COS if they havent maybe we will be waiting till 31 October 2006.
How depressing is that.

Please note the chart below is what we are trying to better.
See Stanelco financial year end (TURNOVER ) results, as at 31.10
1998 1.99M Price ?
1999 2.48M Price ?
2000 3.60M Price 2.75p
2001 6.01M Price 1.55p
2002 3.57M Price 2.35p
2003 1.86M Price 4.85p
2004 1.33M Price 4.50p
2005 ???????. Price 14p currently.
Shares in issue in 2005 are approx 50% up on previous years.(Dilution).
Seems to me to be grossly overpriced against fundamentals, so one can only assume price is based on potential ( WE ALL KNOW THAT).
