Cybit the best telematics play (CYH)

Still Waiting - 21 Sep 2003 22:33

The chart for this stock says it all.

The company is quickly becoming a real gem in the telematics field, over the last month the co. has announced re-seller contracts which will bring in min. 2m or >30% of last years T/O alone.

The company is already experiencing massive organic growth so the co. should be profitable now following last years 500k loss.

The co. has approx. 6m cash and is in one of the hottest growth areas at the moment.

With a market cap. of 25m this will be re-rated x2/3 minimum within the next 6-12 months IMHO.

MM buys went through on Friday with T/O continuing to build, one to put on your monitor...

Found this on ADVFN....................as an investor in this company (and still learning the markets) would appreciate any opinions from people in the know..........?
ncreasing pressure upon UK vehicle fleet operators to improve motor accident rates, comply with European Union Driver hours rules and demonstrate a clear duty of careto their fleet drivers, has seen the value of the European vehicle tracking marketgrow to 6b. A recent KPMG survey of car manufacturers revealed that 62% of all new fleetvehicles will come fitted with some form of telematics as standard by 2005.IAfter a lengthy period of evaluation andreview into the benefits of vehicle tracking technology, fountains appointed Cybits (Holdings) plc to provide its telematic requirements.fountains needed assurances that thenew system could enhance customer service, improve working practices and produce management reports for effective and safe fleet performance. As Paul Concannon, Purchasing & FleetManager, explains the web based FleetStar Online software package provides us with comprehensive journey logs. We can ensure our staff are not exposingthemselves to unnecessary risk throughexcessive travelling and working hours. This information can also be utilised toconfirm completion of works to our keycustomer base. Another bonus from the installation of thevehicle tracking devices into 200 fountainsfleet vehicles will be one not shared byvehicle thieves. We can request an instantvehicle location update and actually trackthe stolen vehicle in real time. Thisensures that we can direct the authoritiesaccordingly in recovering our property. The first units have been installed into 26 fleet vehicles operating from fountainsWinchester office. Business Manager,Stephen Gates, is enthusiastic about theOnline system. The customer focusedsupport offered by Cybits during the first few weeks of operation has beenimpressive. The visibility of the systemensures that we can offer our clientsminimum response times to emergencyrequests whilst advising our teams of anypotential traffic congestion problems.Particularly impressive is the Cybit SMARTNAV facility which provides drivers withsatellite navigation and real time trafficinformation. Such technology reducestravelling time and will prove invaluable to management and support teams whofrequently visit unfamiliar locations. It is planned that the remaininginstallations will take place on a businessunit by business unit basis over the next12 months.by PAUL CONCANNONPurchasing & Fleet ManagerWAGONS ROLLMissionby STEPHEN GATES Business ManagerFollowing the award of a major long term Vegetation Management contract from Network Rail Southern Region, the challenge was to find a vehicle that couldCarry five employees to various rail locations acrossthe southProvide basic welfare provisionEnsure that comfort, safety and security wereparamount throughoutWith the assistance of QI Systems (Telford) Stephen wasable to specify and develop a bespoke crew messingvehicle for vegetation clearance works. Sounds rather good

little woman - 27 Feb 2004 10:14 - 1333 of 3104

I've been away this week, and just caught up with your posts on this threads.

You really must ignore the trades - they generally are meaningless (which is why the price has not really done much in comparision to the recorded trades.)

Take today - most of the trades are Ordinary trades. They are done within a broker, matched from one customer to another (which is why sometimes when you get a really good price, and buy a share, it is recorded as a sell, as the broker didn't make anything on the spread as they matched your purchase to another sale)- it's the AT trades which are the ones tend to make prices move.

When a broker has less shares available for his clients then he will buy more from the MM, (AT trades) and when the broker holds too many he will sell the excess shares to the MM. The MM will fix the price according to whether they want to encourage more buying or selling from the brokers according to the amount of excess stock they are holding. Also if a MM has too little or too much stock they will buy or sell from each other.

Douggie - 27 Feb 2004 12:23 - 1336 of 3104

Nice for someone to blow Cybit trumpet for them they seem reluctant to blow their own everything looking good except share price

Douggie - 27 Feb 2004 12:31 - 1337 of 3104

Nitefly - 27 Feb 2004 13:50 - 1338 of 3104

We will all be saying, "I told you so!" when we turn on the screen on a morning and find CYBIT at the top.

Entertainment just watching the price.

Oh, how they like to shake the tree...

prepared - 27 Feb 2004 13:56 - 1339 of 3104

What I don't understand is why no news from Cybit? Surely there will be a trading update soon. Even the info in the Billam statement is well out of date.

Maybe Cybit should work on their PR!!!

chartist2004 - 27 Feb 2004 14:09 - 1340 of 3104

Just bagged a few more @ 2.83 :o)!

prepared - 27 Feb 2004 20:05 - 1341 of 3104

Bit about Cybit London Evenin Standard tonight. M & C posted details on advfn. All very very encouraging.

Pumacat - 28 Feb 2004 07:54 - 1342 of 3104

Sometimes I find the markets incredibly frustrating. Since buying inot the share I have researched an awfukl lot in the company and everything seesm to suggest that this could be a real gem. Yet the markets keep putting the price down.

Whil;e I appreciate that some may argue its more potential than anything else this potential is beoing borne out by new orders and now instititutional backing.

It was about this time last year that a trading statement was amde and I am wondering if the same thing will happen again.

I also have shares in dfd and on Friday 10,000+ shares were purchased, 500 shares sold - result? - 2% drop in share price!! If the markets are driven by demand then why are there these bizarre movements?

As I said before I am definitely in until June now and will see what happend by that time in terms of new contracts and press coverage

Pumacat - 28 Feb 2004 07:55 - 1343 of 3104

PS Any chance of the standard article appearing on the board?

prepared - 29 Feb 2004 23:08 - 1344 of 3104

Pumacat
The article was just stating Artemis holding, very positive as Artemis are very respected.......others will follow! The price is being held down to allow institutions to buy, once this is done maybe this week, then the shareprice will be marked up. I think the tide will turn this week! All imvho dyor

gary k - 01 Mar 2004 12:30 - 1345 of 3104

If not this week prepared, then maybe next or the week after.

What I'm saying is that this stock will rise at some point when it is not being manipulated for institutions to hoover up all the stock.

Med to long term this is a pretty safe bet in my opinion.

prepared - 01 Mar 2004 21:48 - 1346 of 3104

I agree they are a safe bet and I can't believe these are still under 3p to buy. What a bargain!!! I only wish that I had spare cash to buy more. I think a trading update must be due soon and then we should see some movement north. At some point MMs will not be able to hold this back.

gary k - 01 Mar 2004 22:02 - 1347 of 3104

I sold a shed load of colt Telecom at a very good price to buy into these in a big way, so I'm putting my money where my mouth is for the med to long term.

HCEG is looking good too.

beaufort1 - 02 Mar 2004 14:11 - 1348 of 3104

Wot no posts today?! Come on CybITters, you're slacking! (Or are you all taking profits on RTD today?)

Share seems to have steadied at 2.8. As you say Prepared, ridiculously cheap.
I think we'll have to wait for the results before we see any real action. A trading update would be nice... Little stocks like CYH need good newsflow to keep from sliding down the slippery slope.

Douggie - 02 Mar 2004 15:36 - 1349 of 3104

Well! we are still green in spite of thin trades at b/s 1:4 ratio could be worse
