Gausie, don't remember Urby.

Gausie - 10 Sep 2004 17:35 - 13313 of 23498

opto - he gave up his job, sold his house and became a wannabe daytrader right at the top of the tech boom - had a weekly column in the sunday times (Diary of a daytrader), and had the mickey taken out of him mercilessly on the BBs.

Think he lost something like 50k cash, 50k earnings and 100k capital appreciation on house in the space of a year.

Anyway - point is he now sells drywall stuff.

Socrates - 10 Sep 2004 17:36 - 13314 of 23498

His name is J H Urbanek and he posts from time to time on "the other place".

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 17:36 - 13315 of 23498

Well lets take away Poochy for the biting bit and what about a gin and dry martini with a dash of lime slice of lemon poured on ice and topped up with tonic (not too much tonic) does that sound OK Choccie?

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 17:38 - 13316 of 23498

Evening Socco, How's the sherry trifle supply?

chocolat - 10 Sep 2004 17:40 - 13317 of 23498

Sounds fablious, thanks opto

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 17:45 - 13318 of 23498

Perhaps Bunny would like the gin ricky. She says that she is quiet, after todays postings I will dispute that!! ;-)) but I agree Bunny does maintain her dignity. Good job one or two do eh!

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 17:48 - 13319 of 23498

Your chocolate gateaux would be in peril if you said otherwise Opto
;>) if that's mothers ruin you have there, no thanks hate the smell!

Message for GD - I've posted our changes, but they have come up on
Oak Holdings thread....but I'm sure you will find them.

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 17:55 - 13320 of 23498

How about a glass Chardonnay Bunny that could be a pleasant apperatif?

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:01 - 13321 of 23498

I think someone made a new trifle and supplemented the sherry with 'something'?
(or GD's been spiking the drinks..)

sorry Bun had real bad family crisis this afternoon, sent sep email.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 18:04 - 13322 of 23498

Hey thats OK we all have them - families and the odd crises,
or in our family the many crises (lol) so don't worry!
I'll stick with the shiraz Opto as usual, very much a red wine person.

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:07 - 13323 of 23498

Yes but this is quite a problem. Give me a double pleeeeese

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 18:09 - 13324 of 23498

No thankfully not normally but I never say never as life throws some
curved balls at times...double is fine - email on the way.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 18:14 - 13325 of 23498

Ok happy people I'm outta here - have a good weekend all, be good
and see you all Monday. Someone clear up Sunday night for me? Cheers!!!

Socrates - 10 Sep 2004 18:17 - 13326 of 23498

Hi Opto, sherry trifle in good supply.

amberjane
My sherry trifle is always spiked with something. The only ingredient that you can't guarantee will be in it is sherry. Brandy, whisky, vodka you name it, could be in it. Had you never wondered why people who partook of it swayed around a bit more than normal. It's not the earth shaking, it's the sherry trifle!

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 18:18 - 13327 of 23498

Amberjane, by the sound of your situation you don't need a double anything, just some friendship for yourself right now and professional guidance for the future of your family. I do hope that things make a turn for the better soon but with drugs being the problem it generally is not short term, you will have to be very strong.
