(or GD's been spiking the drinks..)

sorry Bun had real bad family crisis this afternoon, sent sep email.

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 18:04 - 13322 of 23498

Hey thats OK we all have them - families and the odd crises,
or in our family the many crises (lol) so don't worry!
I'll stick with the shiraz Opto as usual, very much a red wine person.

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:07 - 13323 of 23498

Yes but this is quite a problem. Give me a double pleeeeese

stockbunny - 10 Sep 2004 18:09 - 13324 of 23498

and see you all Monday. Someone clear up Sunday night for me? Cheers!!!

Socrates - 10 Sep 2004 18:17 - 13326 of 23498

Hi Opto, sherry trifle in good supply.

amberjane
My sherry trifle is always spiked with something. The only ingredient that you can't guarantee will be in it is sherry. Brandy, whisky, vodka you name it, could be in it. Had you never wondered why people who partook of it swayed around a bit more than normal. It's not the earth shaking, it's the sherry trifle!

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 18:18 - 13327 of 23498

Amberjane, by the sound of your situation you don't need a double anything, just some friendship for yourself right now and professional guidance for the future of your family. I do hope that things make a turn for the better soon but with drugs being the problem it generally is not short term, you will have to be very strong.

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:22 - 13328 of 23498

Thank-you Opto - I feel quite touched by your kind words, can I have a cuddle?

chocolat - 10 Sep 2004 18:22 - 13329 of 23498

Any more before tea, opto?

Sorry to hear that, amberj - you ok?

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 18:25 - 13330 of 23498

Of course you can Amber, and for you Choccie another one of those should give you a huge appetite, its coming up.

chocolat - 10 Sep 2004 18:31 - 13331 of 23498

What's for tea then??

optomistic - 10 Sep 2004 18:34 - 13332 of 23498

Steak and various stuff for me Choccie and its ready, gotta go, see you later.

Socrates - 10 Sep 2004 18:41 - 13333 of 23498

How about a nice slab of tender beef wellington, roast spuds and veggies?

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:41 - 13334 of 23498

Thanks Choccie and Opto feeling much better although I have now had a call to help out with an 8 and 4 year old...yikkksss no pub for me tonite, or can you take them in these days?

amberjane - 10 Sep 2004 18:44 - 13335 of 23498

Socs, can you make that 3 servings as dont have time to cook now. Even neglected my shares this afternoon but see I am up 200 quid. Perhaps I should leave them on their own more often!

and it wasnt the swaying I was worried about, it was the den of iniquity that arrived below ground today, must have been all that talk of Ann Summers, what on earth would Auntie think of the T Rooms, changed a bit since her day. :>)

brockman - 10 Sep 2004 20:12 - 13336 of 23498

Good luck with the children Amber, you'll get through!

Gausie, AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch farmers have devised a hot and spicy way to stop rabbits and rodents munching their lettuce, carrots and wheat.

Spraying fields with the American sauce Tabasco sends the rabbits "three feet in the air" with shock and running for cover, said a spokesman for a local agriculture cooperative.

The Dutch animal protection society is happy with the spicy repellent, unworried by the possibility of burnt bunny mouths.

"Preventive measures are exactly what we want. It's better than going into the fields with a shotgun," said animal welfare spokesman Niels Doorlandt on Thursday.

The farmers will now try to make Tabasco an officially recognised pesticide for subsidised use on a larger scale. At least five small supermarket-sized bottles of the spicy sauce are needed for spraying 1 hectare (2.5 acres) of crops.

Although rain washes the Tabasco off, the crops are only sprayed in the first phases of growth to spare the taste buds of human consumers.

Please don't try this on our Bun :o)
Night all, have a good weekend!
