stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 09:53 - 1337 of 24230

Well it did hit temporarily but now its disappearing pretty
quickly - all the 'hot air' down here!
LOL!!! ;>)

nofi - 25 Feb 2005 09:56 - 1338 of 24230

i cant get quotes or stockwatch from this site for last 2 days, is anyone else having same trouble?

stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 10:06 - 1339 of 24230

No nofi, no problems this end - ask Ian at MoneyAM - either send them
an email of put up a thread showing the problem on the title line.
You do have to have java to receive it, I assume it is not being
blocked by a firewall your end?

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 10:06 - 1340 of 24230

It appears not nofi. Check your Java is OK.

nofi - 25 Feb 2005 10:23 - 1341 of 24230

nope, latest java is in, i just tried with firewall off, just coupla days ago stopped working, just sticks on connecting to stream, java console says threads timedout

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 10:29 - 1342 of 24230

Nofi most odd, could try reinstalling Java or why not email am they will do their best to help, sometimes Ian will pick up on posts like yours but obviously he can't read every posting. Good luck opto
Oh BTW keep that firewall on!!

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 10:31 - 1343 of 24230

clicked wrong box

Spaceman - 25 Feb 2005 11:12 - 1344 of 24230

nofo, are you using a proxy?

nofi - 25 Feb 2005 11:15 - 1345 of 24230

aha, yes, its the new webshield on avast antivirus, didnt even know it had been updated (automatic), i just switched it off and hey presto, its all working again, seems to have blocked port 80 which i assume that java is using for this sites java stuff, so if anyone else has same problem, need to ditch web shield in avast, probably just wants tweaking. Ill let u know what i find.

IanT(MoneyAM) - 25 Feb 2005 11:16 - 1346 of 24230

Nofi,

Sorry I didn't pick up on your post. This would indicate a firewall issue, but as Spaceman says it could well be a proxy server inbetween you and us.

You could also try clearing your temp internet files as well and see if that make a difference, or it could be a setting within your browser which is restricting Java.

Try to reinstall Java from the link below:

http://java.sun.com/webapps/getjava/BrowserRedirect?locale=en&host=www.java.com:80

Socrates - 25 Feb 2005 11:24 - 1348 of 24230

Hello, Socco's back.

Priscilla
What have you done to DYS? When I left it was at 4.

Priscilla - 25 Feb 2005 11:30 - 1349 of 24230

I made the mistake of posting up the Press Release from www.dyson.co.uk and the MMs read it! I think a few small retail shareholders also realized their mistake and sold. Heaven knows how many 'Hoover-Holders' there are on our share register, Socks!

Welcome back, by the way, and I'll try and nudge up the price for you again soon.

optomistic - 25 Feb 2005 11:31 - 1350 of 24230

Socco's back in town....sherry trifles all round!!

stockbunny - 25 Feb 2005 11:42 - 1351 of 24230

Certainly!!! :>)
Well you are all on either Indian or Chinese this lunchtime as
the bunny has things to do - unless someone would like to
man the kitchen for lunch today?????

(Of course we do have the usual available in the fridge, just
requiring cooking - haddock fish fingers, cornish pasties etc)

Priscilla - 25 Feb 2005 11:47 - 1352 of 24230

New game for those who need a rest from the market...

Socrates - 25 Feb 2005 11:51 - 1353 of 24230

Priscilla
I'll settle for your nudges anytime.

Since I've had no sherry trifle for four whole days I had better have a bowl full now.

Spaceman - 25 Feb 2005 12:04 - 1354 of 24230

Bunny, It wil have to be fish fingers for me as its Indian tonight.

Socrates - 25 Feb 2005 12:51 - 1355 of 24230

If anyone is peckish, I have just knocked up some pork escalopes with an onion sauce filling, roast potatoes, garden peas and cauliflower in white sauce. Nothing special, I just wanted a snack.
