Certainley does driver, cant see this rate of rising staying the whole day though. Will be interesting to see whether we can hold out at 16p if the volume slows, which I reckon it could be already.............

Biscuit - 06 Dec 2005 10:21 - 13401 of 27111

Volume usually picks up again towards the close.

shamona - 06 Dec 2005 11:17 - 13402 of 27111

Bugz - 06 Dec 2005 12:21 - 13405 of 27111

Men in dark glasses and Captains saying 'buy'-better be off to the bank and spend my life savings on stock then............

I have posted the article below due to the comment from Walmart. See Item Marked ....................

BASF launches biodegradable packaging plastic

By Ahmed ElAmin

Stanelco's starch-based packaging approved in EU
Corn-based polymer packaging targets natural foods
Biodegradable film offers alternative to plastics
Companies search for alternates as polymer prices rise

Related Product Information
Packaging Materials.

In the US Wal-Mart said its Sam's Club outlets began using PLA for packaging in fresh cut produce starting in November 2005.
BASF is aiming at the French and German markets, but appears to be several months behind SEO.

Because I am a boring get with nothing to do, I looked back to post 12628 on 09/11.
This was the infamous one where my old mate blinger said to make real money, get out of SEO and into SPO. I wondered where I would be had I followed his sage advice.
I have checked the figures and SPO has risen by 12.98% since then. SEO is up by 11.30% (correct at time of writing), so it appears he was right. Hang on though, because SPO has a much larger spread, if you invested 10000 net of costs in each of the two you would now have a holding of 10834.79 in SPO and 10963.05 in SEO, should you cash them today.
IMO, game set and match to SEO by a whole 1.3%. But I am of a kindly disposition and congratulate anyone who makes any sort of profit on sharedealing and would never dream of making someone look so stupid as that on a BB merely for my own self gratification.
But of course if you live in a glass house........................

hewittalan6 - 06 Dec 2005 14:38 - 13410 of 27111

And its even gone up since I wrote that.
I'm really enjoying today.
RNS tomorrow anyone?

hewittalan6 - 06 Dec 2005 14:55 - 13412 of 27111

An apology.
SEO has risen twice since I wrote post 13409 and so it is out of date.
Should have waited till 4.30pm.

Regulator chides companies for claiming packaging chemical 'safe'

By Ahmed ElAmin

EU experts meet to discuss problems with packaging chemical
Numico and SMA Nutrition's products affected by packaging chemical
Tetra Pak to phase out chemical from citrus juice packaging
Italy calls for investigation of Nestls use of printing ink chemical
Nestlbaby milk recall begins due to concerns over packaging ink

05/12/2005 - The EU's food regulator has chided Nestland Tetra Pak for what it says are their misinterpretations of its preliminary advice about the safety of using the chemical ITX (isopropylthioxanthone) in food packaging.

My Comments
Tetra Pak made great efforts to convince the customer that their product was safe, and now this.
I know I often go on about such scares but you only need one high profile claims case and the rush for more natural packaging will suddenly swamp suppliers. Hopefully SEO will be well placed to capitalise.
