Regulator chides companies for claiming packaging chemical 'safe'

By Ahmed ElAmin

EU experts meet to discuss problems with packaging chemical
Numico and SMA Nutrition's products affected by packaging chemical
Tetra Pak to phase out chemical from citrus juice packaging
Italy calls for investigation of Nestls use of printing ink chemical
Nestlbaby milk recall begins due to concerns over packaging ink

05/12/2005 - The EU's food regulator has chided Nestland Tetra Pak for what it says are their misinterpretations of its preliminary advice about the safety of using the chemical ITX (isopropylthioxanthone) in food packaging.

My Comments
Tetra Pak made great efforts to convince the customer that their product was safe, and now this.
I know I often go on about such scares but you only need one high profile claims case and the rush for more natural packaging will suddenly swamp suppliers. Hopefully SEO will be well placed to capitalise.

This share's up 25% in a week. 13 million shares change hands today. Some people know alot more than we do. How is that when there's so many people pooling their knowledge on the BB's?
Big dealers too.
Stinks doesn't it?
Unless of course you own shares and get dragged along.Might have bought some more though.
The same scenario was palyed out last February I think it was when the share went from 5 to 11 on no news. None that I could find anyway. Eventually the Asda news came out. So I expect there'll be some very good news soon.

Red Erik - 06 Dec 2005 16:57 - 13421 of 27111

Halfamil, I am not sure they know any more than any of us, we all saw the Daily Express tip, and each makes their own assumptions as to what lies in store for the SP if a deal is done this week or next.

Buy on rumour sell on news is whats happening, so longs beware of the profit takers when the news arrives, we already have a large number of rampers and day traders taking advantage of the rise, and we don't know how many will dare to go short after taking their profit.

If this moves above 200ma we could be in for an exciting breakout. Not convinced yet could be a dead cat bounce without any news, mind you i still bought a shitload more at 14p.Good luck to all holders, the next few days should be extremely interesting.

pisces - 06 Dec 2005 21:20 - 13426 of 27111

Bling im`e such a moron iv`e made 3grand in the last 2 days,at this rate i might be able to afford to send you a new doll after you`ve worn the last one out.Which do you prefer, shaved or unshaved, wifes just had her hair cut, bit of superglue and my imagination could run riot.

Daz England - 06 Dec 2005 21:30 - 13429 of 27111

Blinger do me a favour....and us all for that matter and grow up and act your age. It's very boring now.

garyble - 06 Dec 2005 21:50 - 13430 of 27111

Bling Bling,

Me thinks you're a bit stressed from the tone of your recent posts.

Cheer up chap!

explosive - 06 Dec 2005 22:10 - 13431 of 27111

Looks like the days of shorting this share are gone, well for the moment anyway..... I believe Blinger is correct though a tip sheet and MM action are responsible for this rise. Anyone not following the "Daily Express" whos been around a while will know it won't last.
Looking on the bright side though anyone shorting will simply sit this out and wait for the tide to turn before shorting yet again.
Maybe I'll try my first spread on the sign of the tide!!

Red Erik - 06 Dec 2005 22:37 - 13432 of 27111

Shorting Stanelco during the next three months will be costly

They have more 'in the pieline' than BP
