Blinger do me a favour....and us all for that matter and grow up and act your age. It's very boring now.

garyble - 06 Dec 2005 21:50 - 13430 of 27111

Bling Bling,

Me thinks you're a bit stressed from the tone of your recent posts.

Cheer up chap!

explosive - 06 Dec 2005 22:10 - 13431 of 27111

Looks like the days of shorting this share are gone, well for the moment anyway..... I believe Blinger is correct though a tip sheet and MM action are responsible for this rise. Anyone not following the "Daily Express" whos been around a while will know it won't last.
Looking on the bright side though anyone shorting will simply sit this out and wait for the tide to turn before shorting yet again.
Maybe I'll try my first spread on the sign of the tide!!

Shorting Stanelco during the next three months will be costly

They have more 'in the pieline' than BP

Explosive, maybe a lot of buying stems from the Daily Express tip, but I see no MM action, not a single MM buy over the last two days tells me they are not as confident as the PI's

Their loss methinks

Well done to all those who have been bullish, been thinking about getting in and didnt, oh well my loss.

markusantonius - 07 Dec 2005 07:34 - 13436 of 27111

Anything could still happen, guys. But reputable newspaper confidence can usually be substantiated. One day there will be mega news, that is WHEN not if? It's just a matter of being patient which I am now learning!

bhunt1910 - 07 Dec 2005 07:43 - 13437 of 27111

I still hold the view that the Close statement has already been prepared - but it will not be released until there is some positive sales news to go with it - or until end of next week at latest.

It is very possible therefore that extracts from the close statement have been leaked which are very bullish which has cuased the sp to rise.

I also think that the sp will now stabilise until an RNS is issued at around 15.5 to 16p.

Just an opinion

Baza seems to have got it about right

Problem is, as we have seen from this company in the past they are likely to have leaked every bit of good news going and are actually waiting for these developments to become concrete

For me the fact that there are no new machine orders means that they are trying to say something good about future orders so are waiting for at least one order from somewhere

On the Starpol side, the acquisition looks like a beauty and has saved this company from a bigger slide than we've seen. They may be holding out for good news on a big contract here

The problem for me is why do they care so much about short term news and timing when if the long term picture is so rosy they can sit back and wait for the good news to roll in its own good time ? There management of expectations remains lousy

shamona - 07 Dec 2005 08:57 - 13443 of 27111

Thats me out chaps, all the best.

Nice little profit to keep the wolves from the door.

bhunt1910 - 07 Dec 2005 09:44 - 13444 of 27111

Sham - thats worrying - cos you seem to have called it right on the last 3 or 4 occasions.

No decision for me -'cos I am not trading these - 'cos every time I tried to - I lost money. This is now in my long term fund - hopefully to provide a slightly better pension. in 3 or 4 years time.

insiderinside - 07 Dec 2005 09:47 - 13445 of 27111

as some have questioned - my earlier post - to say again - you have a trading update coming - at least - i am aware - a deal in the US - potential larger than you think - fast food - will make GS small - by comparison -

T&G move to hold - then move to buy after news - an upgrade - has more effect -

SE0 learned - not to hype too much - no news long time - and then release news only when big - i am glad to hear - silence - has been golden

i have not purchased any - but told my friends too -

All IMO - DYOR !!

insiderinside - 07 Dec 2005 09:49 - 13446 of 27111

cannot say - when to be released - up to 10 days - but big news its rumoured -

hewittalan6 - 07 Dec 2005 09:56 - 13447 of 27111

For the very first time in my life, I hope ii is right!!!
Despite our differences in the past, if he is, then fair play to him and well called.

Quite sad in a way - I'll miss the entertaining bashing.

The end of an era!
