I still hold the view that the Close statement has already been prepared - but it will not be released until there is some positive sales news to go with it - or until end of next week at latest.
It is very possible therefore that extracts from the close statement have been leaked which are very bullish which has cuased the sp to rise.
I also think that the sp will now stabilise until an RNS is issued at around 15.5 to 16p.
Just an opinion

Baza seems to have got it about right
Problem is, as we have seen from this company in the past they are likely to have leaked every bit of good news going and are actually waiting for these developments to become concrete
For me the fact that there are no new machine orders means that they are trying to say something good about future orders so are waiting for at least one order from somewhere
On the Starpol side, the acquisition looks like a beauty and has saved this company from a bigger slide than we've seen. They may be holding out for good news on a big contract here
The problem for me is why do they care so much about short term news and timing when if the long term picture is so rosy they can sit back and wait for the good news to roll in its own good time ? There management of expectations remains lousy

Sham - thats worrying - cos you seem to have called it right on the last 3 or 4 occasions.
No decision for me -'cos I am not trading these - 'cos every time I tried to - I lost money. This is now in my long term fund - hopefully to provide a slightly better pension. in 3 or 4 years time.

as some have questioned - my earlier post - to say again - you have a trading update coming - at least - i am aware - a deal in the US - potential larger than you think - fast food - will make GS small - by comparison -
T&G move to hold - then move to buy after news - an upgrade - has more effect -
SE0 learned - not to hype too much - no news long time - and then release news only when big - i am glad to hear - silence - has been golden
i have not purchased any - but told my friends too -
All IMO - DYOR !!

Just as an aside though, if this is true and there is a biggie coming, then I feel very let down as a small pi that the big boys get the leaks of news and up (or down) goes the sp before us mere mortals know what is happening.
I guess thats just the way the cookie crumbles but it doesn't seem to be cricket, really.
Moan over, I'll just get on with enjoying it while it lasts.

Agree with your comment Alan
Rumours I've heard are very similar to insiderinside comments. But these rumours come from the company themselves from what I understand. The reason why, in my opinion, they are rumours not fact is the deal is not yet fully signed. The share price is saying it is very likely it will
I'm out, on this run, on the basis I can't stand companies that are so excited they can't keep anything to themselves and therefore over promise.
The RF stuff that gave us the big profits appears now to be almost on the backburner -- where's WMT -- with Starpol now the star. Expect the good news to come from there not RF. It could be their running around trying to get an RF deal in the UK just to show that side is holding up as well as announcing a packaging trial or such with whoever insiderinside is talking about

Alan,
Surely thats the way of the world. The big boys are bound to be more influential and better connected, and hence more likely to get a sniff early than the general public.

I never said he was a friend - just said he seemed to be constructive.
Constructive I can take (positive or negative), straight ramping or de ramping I find just wastes everybodys time.
So if he is being constructive - rather than simply de ramping for the sake of it - then I will read him. Just my opinion
