Get up you lazy lot, sun is shining and time for a bit of gardening

Socrates - 12 Sep 2004 10:39 - 13472 of 23498

Jeffmack
Obviously you are not in Cheltenham, it is grey, looks like rain and there are the first signs of a nip in the air (no Japanese jokes please). Shall I put the kettle on, nearly time for elevenses?

hilary - 12 Sep 2004 10:45 - 13473 of 23498

Jeffie,

Surprised you haven't gone to Columbia Road this morning ...... it's coming up for pansy time.

Can't you get Telewest where you live? You don't need a dish. Federer was awesome last night. I didn't think that Timmy (nice but dim) played badly at all. Wanted to see Dementiava but couldn't stay awake until 1am to watch her. Her match against Capriati in the semis was great viewing.

Morning Old Socs, btw.

Socrates - 12 Sep 2004 10:47 - 13474 of 23498

Good morning Hilary.

hilary - 12 Sep 2004 11:26 - 13475 of 23498

Jeffie,

It's Ipswich v Millwall live on SS1 this lunchtime. That's one good reason NOT to get Sky. Mrs Mack is right, imo!

:o)

Socrates - 12 Sep 2004 11:42 - 13476 of 23498

Lunchtime watching for me will be the raising of U-534 on the National Geographic Channel. I can't even get excited enough to bother with that high speed motor parade known as the Italian Grand Prix. Sad really.

Still, there is always sherry trifle.

jeffmack - 12 Sep 2004 11:57 - 13477 of 23498

Hilary
We have NTL in our street but always hear bad things about them so didnt sign up. I tell you what, as I am going to the bridge next weekend its only fair you sit through Ipswich V Millwall. I predict 1-1

STORMCALLER - 12 Sep 2004 13:00 - 13478 of 23498

Afternoon all,
Just made it in time to grab a Guinness and take my customary position to watch grand-prix, what timing.

STORMCALLER - 12 Sep 2004 14:20 - 13479 of 23498

Wasn't that sweet, Schumacher let's team-mate Barichello win, bless....

Socrates - 12 Sep 2004 14:23 - 13480 of 23498

I got bored with it so went and had a bath.

STORMCALLER - 12 Sep 2004 14:33 - 13481 of 23498

Socs,
Wise move as always, it wasn't a classic race, although the pit fire livened it up for a moment! Other than that you didn't miss much.
