Good one Al, Ecuador really, well i suppose someones got to have faith. England done enough last night to ensure were in the main event. As for the lady above well Kims got the right idea!!

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2006 14:29 - 136 of 403

Easy win for argentina today, better be !!

markusantonius - 16 Jun 2006 15:49 - 137 of 403

6-0 to the Argies - breathtaking "pass & move" football - they will take some stopping. Let's beat Sweden next week so we can avoid them till the Final!!

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2006 16:11 - 138 of 403

Just seen the winners play and win 6/0,england got know hope, sad but true.

G D Potts - 16 Jun 2006 17:38 - 139 of 403

How did L.Messi play? I have him in my Sun Dream Team.

ptholden - 16 Jun 2006 17:48 - 140 of 403

Came on as a sub and scored GD.

Holland playing pretty well, fortunately they are likely to meet Argentina if they win today, so one of two very good teams will be making an exit.

markusantonius - 16 Jun 2006 18:23 - 141 of 403

I think you will find that Holland and Argentina are in the same group, PTH! Providing they hold out against The Ivory Coast then they will both qualify to the next stage (they play each other in 4 days' time).

ptholden - 16 Jun 2006 18:25 - 142 of 403

Quite correct, misheard the commentators, pity though.

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2006 19:06 - 143 of 403

Mexico for the treble tonight for me ,shame the ivory coast are gone all the same.

daves dazzlers - 16 Jun 2006 23:00 - 144 of 403

Mexico, good till they get near the goal .

bosley - 17 Jun 2006 08:32 - 145 of 403

next 2 teams to go through

kimoldfield - 17 Jun 2006 13:08 - 146 of 403

Mmm, Sven should arrange for both those young ladies to be placed in the middle, behind Sweden's goalposts.
kim

G D Potts - 17 Jun 2006 18:13 - 147 of 403

Czech arent doing great.

barclay - 17 Jun 2006 19:10 - 148 of 403

Ghana's win is what makes the world cup exiting, if they carry on playing like that they have just as good a chance as anybody.

I thought the czechs would be one of the favorites to win, it just goes to show.
I think i'll put a small bet on an outsider this year.

lanayel - 17 Jun 2006 20:11 - 149 of 403

I think i'll put a small bet on an outsider this year.

England perhaps ?

;o)

ptholden - 17 Jun 2006 20:34 - 150 of 403

De Rossi - what a loon!! Clearly not blessed with too many grey cells.

G D Potts - 17 Jun 2006 20:37 - 151 of 403

Barclay go for Ecuador!! De rossi a bit wild i agree. hopefully the us can win now, easier to beat in latter stages than italy.

ptholden - 17 Jun 2006 20:52 - 152 of 403

Oops and then Mastroni has a rush of blood to the head! 10 v 10 both sending offs totally correct. What next?

bosley - 18 Jun 2006 05:32 - 153 of 403

what a very strange and weird game that was!! all the red cards totally justified, de rossi should be sent home in disgrace. pirlo should be sent home for being shit and for playing an unbelieveable amount of hospital balls. the yanks should be sent home for not grasping fifa's latest directive that lunging tackles are a no-no. the linesmen should be sent home for not understanding that level is now ONSIDE. very disappointing performance from italy, we now need to beat the czechs to stay in the tournament and to avoid meeting brazil in the next round.

G D Potts - 18 Jun 2006 16:34 - 154 of 403

Bosley not looking good for you. However, for anyone who managed to get a bet on David Villa when I said then its a certain thing (Golden Boot).
Roon back on the mend and Stevie G on superb form, Its Englands year. First Rugby, then the ashes, probably not Wimbledon but definately the World Cup.
