I do hope you are right, Baza, and not the idea of holding the statement to the last possible minute to keep the SP high, to bolster bonuses based on the share price at the end of December.
Every day that passes make me a little more nervous of this.

Me too - but some posteres seem very confident that there may be a late announcement of Friday. As always treat with sceptism - but I suppose it is possible

I have just learned that the LSE charge a fee for each RNS.

Maybe that explains the delay ?

They could be waiting for several things and squeeze them all through in one RNS and save some of our money :-)

robinhood - 13 Dec 2005 12:06 - 13581 of 27111

Do not think you can deliberately hold back a RNS that could substantially influence sp be it up or down

hewittalan6 - 13 Dec 2005 12:09 - 13582 of 27111

Not sure about that RH, when the RNS we are expecting is the close statement and it can be issued anytime between end of financial year and x weeks proir to annual report.
I may be wrong (I usually am), but I think that is the position.

I think the position is that you cannot hold back news that might be price sensitive - such as a deal - however - information contained in a close statement - which I think is business as usual - just like announcing final results - can be issued either according to a schedule - or when ready and agreed by the board ??.

Either way - the SEO website says that final results are due in January - assuming that this means 31st January - then if (and they dont have to) they issue a close statement - then I guess that the last possible day would actually be next Tuesday (20th).

From discussions that I have had with SEO - they do plan to issue a close statement - but plans can change.

Waiting for a RNS is like waiting for christmas

Mad Pad - 13 Dec 2005 16:45 - 13585 of 27111

At least you know when Christmas is going to arrive!!!

fliper - 13 Dec 2005 16:59 - 13586 of 27111

OK you have got me on that one. Its like waiting for chelsea to lose by 2 goals!!!

KingKonggb - 13 Dec 2005 17:09 - 13587 of 27111

The last EVO update gave the possible time for the pre-close statement i think.
Does anyone still have a copy from Mastersons mail out?

Stanelco only got a couple of paragraphs but i'm sure a date or timescale was mentioned as being the last possible.

Tonyrelaxes - 13 Dec 2005 20:07 - 13589 of 27111

So we are awaiting and wanting an RNS about -

- ASDA's 30 day exclisivity trial for Starpol
- Year End pre-close Statement
- FDA's full approval of Starpol
- ASDA's exclusive contract progress (numbers) for Greenseal convertions
- Frogpack
- Pulsline security labelling
- biodegradable cigarette filter tip auction
- exploitation of more of Biotec's "treasure chest" of IP
- Wallmart
- McDonalds

Not a bad list, no doubt you can think of more. A positive RNS on any one of these would be satisfying - but what about several..... :-))

There really are so much things going on.

For the sake of balance -

- Court case

bhunt1910 - 13 Dec 2005 20:13 - 13590 of 27111

I am rather hoping that with 2 new ceo's at the helm - they might talk to each other and settle ooc - will save a stash of cash on all sides

blinger - 13 Dec 2005 20:28 - 13591 of 27111

Jaysus, they are still waiting for an RNS, and one of them now realises you can pay for one.
My advice send the company a tenner each and tell them as shareholders, that you will pay for one -erm something like --

"The company (SEO) are over the moon with the way things are going , those who await a huge rise in the share price via an RNS in future, may or may not be in for a pleasant surprise.
However we guarantee that an RNS will be issued perhaps now, sooner or later, it all depends.
Nonetheless we continue on are huge salaries spending your money as we see fit,
Merry Xmas
