As I said, needs sound effects. As I work in IT, I often forget that i am in the banking business, its just us and them. I have my boss over from the states next week, I plan to ask him if I can work four days only, will probably do some trading the other day at home, see how it goes.

hilary - 14 May 2003 12:30 - 1360 of 23498

He'll probably be impressed that you're offering to do an extra couple of days work next week, Jeff.

I had the misfortune of receiving a convent education and being taught by a bunch of sadistic nuns. I can quite honestly say that I hated every minute of it. I could just picture some of the old trouts that taught me as I had a good chuckle at your joke.

Hilary
I must confess to not being familiar with HAMP. I've had a look at their website:

http://www.hampson-industries.plc.uk/home.html

and they appear to be quite a professional organisation. They have all of the aviation and quality approvals I would expect to see and their list of customers includes some companies who are very particular in their quality requirements. In addition I see they have an MoD design approval which indicates that they may well have their fingers into some lucrative pies.

Apart from that, a brief look at the charts did not make me bristle with confidence. I shall add it to my watch list because the aerospace industry should start a recovery before too long and HAMP should benefit.

PS

Does your charting expertise include candlesticks (jokes aside)?

hilary - 14 May 2003 15:42 - 1362 of 23498

Socs,

I wouldn't be surprised to see them hit 20p with a bit of patience over the next 2 or 3 months. I only use candlesticks ....... why's that?

Socrates - 14 May 2003 16:02 - 1363 of 23498

Hilary
I looked at the candlesticks chart for HAMP and saw nothing indicative of a breakout, have I missed something? I'll have another look.

hilary - 14 May 2003 16:40 - 1364 of 23498

Socs,

That's possibly because they haven't actually broken out. Yet.

:-)

Socrates - 14 May 2003 17:03 - 1365 of 23498

Right, got that.

This_is_me - 14 May 2003 20:46 - 1366 of 23498

Hi Hil
Tried to get filled on LMC this morning but GNI couldnt get quoted as it started to rise. Sitting on it for now hoping it might fall back a bit.

Socrates - 15 May 2003 10:41 - 1370 of 23498

Hi all, a couple of my back burner shares moving a bit today, NIS and ART. Not before time I must say.

dickdasterdly10000 - 15 May 2003 10:47 - 1371 of 23498

Hi Socrates

Can I ask if you are named after the philosopher or the footballer?

Regards

Dick

hilary - 15 May 2003 10:47 - 1372 of 23498

Jeff,

I bought the dip on a s/b this morning. Nicely in profit at the moment but it looks to me like there's a background seller so she'll quite probably be going soon.

hilary - 15 May 2003 10:56 - 1373 of 23498

Dick,

He's not named after the philosopher, he is the philosopher. Many people believe that Socrates died in the year 399BC, but in fact he is still alive and kicking today and running half-marathons at the ripe old age of 2,473.

It's all down to cream teas that they serve in here.

dickdasterdly10000 - 15 May 2003 10:58 - 1374 of 23498

shame

the footballer was far cooler than the philosopher - imho

what a haircut!!!!!!

(apologies - the footie will be wasted on a woman ;-) )

hilary - 15 May 2003 11:07 - 1375 of 23498

Not this woman it won't!!! Quique de Lucas is a cutie - imho.

:-)

dickdasterdly10000 - 15 May 2003 11:09 - 1376 of 23498

LOL!!!!!

Chelsea Girl then

no breaking those nails on the keyboard

little willie - 15 May 2003 11:43 - 1377 of 23498

Dick, your playing with fire mate. I did the same many moons ago when I was called Big Willie [no aneatheasetic either], she also hasn't got those typically womens small feet for standing closer to the white goods!

PRM STILL GOING LIKE A BOEING....lw

jeffmack - 15 May 2003 11:47 - 1378 of 23498
