rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

have increased ftse short and also opened a small dow short, though i may just trade that for a day or two while allowing short s+p to run for a while

+44 on Facebook, short closed.

Got it all wrong today, now on a cable short which is fortunately in the money so far.

Also long on UU. from 666.5 earlier - ex dividend tomorrow @12.4p.

Considering HFD (5.2p) & MARS (4.1p).

Closed S&P also +5.6, not keen on these trades as you need to stake big to make your money..

s+p is quite scary, with even a mini-contract running at $150 a point

Missed out on AAPL yesterday, Facebook looks like a short from the off though.

AAPL was only down $2.50 on a base price >$550 so i can't see that you missed much
