Not just another coffee shop chain - this one is a brand leader and is only trading in Eastern/Central Europe (i.e. the countries recently admitted to the EU destined for substantial business growth). Some nice buys going through today, seems like there is some confidence in COH and its potential future... Sometimes the big boys don't always win and I'm hoping for once Starbucks does not succeed but time will tell... The Franchisee in Poland does not have a great profit margin after taking Starbucks cut...

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 12:01 - 1364 of 2037

Adie ..... not that i hold or even intend to hold either COH or CHE, but do you consider that COH meets the franchisor criteria that i outlined ...... as far as i can see, it does not, not least because it does not even (yet?) have a solid foundation at home

bmw325 - 14 Jun 2007 12:05 - 1365 of 2037

Dave

I have stated many times that Worthington has done a brilliant job with COH and if they were going to go under they would have done so a long time ago.

Unfortunately with BKE for one reason or another did not fair so well and because of this David or Jim_ Bentley Davis as he his known as across the road has had a pathological hatred for Worthington.

David lost a packet when he eventually sold his holding in BKE.

David I think it is time for you to come clean.

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 12:07 - 1366 of 2037

bmw ..... you are very repetitive and boring with your persistent bickering and sniping .... 10B is no better ..... surely it would be much more constructive to respond to the posts of Adie and myself

AdieH - 14 Jun 2007 12:28 - 1367 of 2037

Time will tell cynic, there was some discussion some time ago regarding difficulty in setting up in the Poland and that is partly why COH has had a slow controlled roll out, RW confirmed at the first AGM I went to that they should have rolled out faster but stipulated the difficulty of finding the right locations and also the politics because of its past history (corruption etc)... Who knows who is right... neither of us can say only time will tell..

David10B - 14 Jun 2007 12:29 - 1368 of 2037

RIGHT ON CYNIC the man is nuts

He has as a fixation with BKE, what a dog and is to stupid to realise that while he keeps deriding it its brings Worthington to futher attention.

bmw325 - 14 Jun 2007 12:49 - 1369 of 2037

David

Unfortunately there are posters who still appear to be taken in by you and cynic is one of them.

Like most posters I also take exception to cynic giving opinions on other posters when you do not hold and have no intention of holding.

David10B - 14 Jun 2007 13:17 - 1370 of 2037

Sir you do not have exclusive right here. There BBs are intended for open and honest discussion..
We, or more tothe point my opinion may be wrong, but nevertheless I still havea ight to express them.

You Sir appear to be more interested in protecting your own position than helping to illuminate others as to the pros and cons of share buying.

With all the share I mention here please pull them to pieces.

The fact of whether I hold shares in a company is irrelevant its the discussing that could lead me to make a buy or sell decision that counts.

I wonder if I may respectfully ask if you were born in Soviet Russia?

bmw325 - 14 Jun 2007 13:23 - 1371 of 2037

"honest discussion" does not apply in your case.

MERVILLE - 14 Jun 2007 13:49 - 1372 of 2037

exactly AdieH only time will tell, which beggars the question how can you see COH reaching 1.00 very soon? am I missing something (apart from a brain)

AdieH - 14 Jun 2007 14:29 - 1373 of 2037

I have said 12/18 months, if they manage to roll out 90/100 stores in that time then I don't see any reason why it won't be at 1.00. Take a look at the brokers notes. Regards.

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 14:34 - 1374 of 2037

BMW .... ignoring your snipe re my right to post ..... i have not been taken in by either 10B or you or anyone else ..... it happens that i have never thought that COH or CFE will cut the mustard in the longer term, but that does not preclude me from taking an active interest, even if you don't like my view

however, i do notice that none of you has said that either my franchisor criteria were wrongly based or that COH (or CFE for that matter) actually meets them

AdieH - 14 Jun 2007 14:54 - 1375 of 2037

looking at the buys today I would say there has to be some confidence...

cynic - 14 Jun 2007 15:15 - 1376 of 2037

can't disagree with that, however well-founded or otherwise ...... will watch carefully as or if sp approaches the possible resistances, with particular emphasis on 200 dma, currently about 39p

Ultimate Cynic - 23 Jun 2007 23:16 - 1377 of 2037

I notice 10B insn't here now that the price is rising!!
UC.

David10B - 24 Jun 2007 09:16 - 1378 of 2037

Ah but I am.

But I promised IAN to conform. However I may not post but I am always watching this stock with an aim to warning the flies about the dangers of sticky paper.

AdieH - 24 Jun 2007 11:19 - 1379 of 2037

UC why did you make that comment? Interims due by July 25th so we should all be better off one way or the other.

cynic - 24 Jun 2007 13:59 - 1380 of 2037

10B ..... am sure no one, not even Ian, has any objection to you posting so long as it half way intelligent or even amusing and desists from both boring and boorish personal abuse ...... tcdmt could take a similar lesson!

tobyboy - 24 Jun 2007 15:02 - 1381 of 2037
