NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.
They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

stringy,
Well some have been in since early 2004, so patience is wearing a bit thin in some cases.
In that time NML have missed several deadlines, and the SP has halved, or, for some, worse!
In order to restore some credibility, they need to pull something out of the bag fairly soon IMO.
A reverse takeover may provide an exit for those locked in at higher prices, otherwise a JV is possible, with one of the companies nearby in Angola.
The weather has now turned, and the rainy season is upon NML once again, so we shall have to wait and see if that hampers progress, or whether they have the ability and infrastructure to cope this year.

legend..agree that this company needs news and that deadlines have been missed. However, it is no worse than some other mining shares which have done equally badly over the last 12 months.eg EPD...much more than halved in the last year..
Needs patience for sure....

Or whether they bother to tell us!

EPD at least have reported news when they can and recently have been looking quite perky.

For those of you who are shareholders here, apparently John Cross is in Angola just now and meetings are being lined up with Endiama and the Angolan Ministry of Mining. Don't know exactly when..or what..

If the weather has turned, without the drills being in place, then this may be good and bad news.
Good, because it prevents the other companies from setting up any drills until they have de-watered the pits. Bad, because it means that NML will have to drain the pits the moment the equipment arrives to start work and that will give the competitors a window of opportunity too - if they can get onto the kimberlite that is.
I believe you are correct about the fund-raising. As I've been saying for some time now, they must have practically exhausted the coffers with all the digging they are doing. If the equipment is idle, then you have to ask why they haven't moved it back to the alluvials and announced the re-start of the alluvial production.
We still don't have any data on the diamonds extracted during April, May and June and that concerns me even more. It makes me believe that there is no data to share. That implies that the company was not doing what it claimed to be doing and that implies that one (or more) of the RNS was misleading in a major way.
There are hints that some of the shareholders are still receiving communications from the management. Which leads me to believe that they are up to their old tricks. Otherwise, how would they know who John Cross was having meetings with recently?!
Also, how would they know Shane Healy's movements and that he was in London and based here, if they were not receiving intel from the company. It sounds like there is a little communications network going on in the background, as it was last year and a few clues have been left as to who is "in the loop" and who is not.
I rather think that Rebecca's friend, the annoyed shareholder, may be even more annoyed if he knew that some shareholders were more equal than others - with apologies to George Orwell!

>stringy - a lot of people are going to be claiming that when it comes down to it, but they've left plenty of evidence that they know a great deal more than has been put on the BBs. I doubt the FSA will be so 'amused' if it proves that PSI has been provided to some, but not to others. Even more so if they agree that there were misleading statements.

Evening Anom...I don't think that there is any secret about the fact that SH moved to London a few months ago. All you have to do is email their PR people, as you do with the EPD people, yourself. One of their jobs is to reply to simple questions, not PSI obviously, from the shareholders. I did see notready comment something today. I don't think there is a secret in that. Most people just aren't bothering with the BBs any more.
gary@swithins.com will get you to GM
Good to see a bit of flicker in EPD again.

Anom,
Some good points in your post, and i'm sure as usual there are rumours circulating off board within the group regarding the company.
You would think they would return to alluvial production if the machinery is idle, maybe they will announce something in their next RNS? They must be due to release one soon, it's been quite a wait, and it's surely time for them to do a fundraising or JV? The $500,000 must be nearly exprired now IMO.
I knew Shane was in London before the group, as I bumped into him at a Minesite, so the rumour mill isn't quite as good as some imagine!
Good to see EPD moving in the right direction, and am hoping for the same from FDI before too long.

takahe,
ditto!
My only reasons for feeling more bullish are just my recent interpretations of all the info that's freely available combined with the fact that news must be pretty close now.
-Could be bad news when it does arrive of course. Would hardly be the first time I'd called one wrong!
