Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

SuperBrugha
Depends I suspect on what tomorrows RNS says.
Must be one surely?
Pleased to say I have kept away from this little baby for some time, as it is too hot for someone like me who is not willing to watch the screen like a hawk.

Dil - 17 Nov 2004 22:55 - 1368 of 2372

Kivver , as you don't seem to have been round too long my best guess is that your another useless poster who has had to reincarnate himself under a different name.

Stick round long enough and you may get the hang of it and don't go looking to Bones for sympathy as although we have often had differing views about bprg I can respect his position unlike the idiots like you who plague the bprg threads.

Bones , as if ..... I have taken a vow of silence on these :-)

Big Al - 18 Nov 2004 00:07 - 1369 of 2372

M - this one's for young guns like Dil. ;-))

Fred1new - 18 Nov 2004 00:22 - 1370 of 2372

It will come back to a reasonable price of about 110+, but its going to be slow unless there are some institutional buyers at these prices. There seems to be interest and Buys outway sells. It will be interesting to watch.

As far as money management is concerned I have always thought above my means but generally lived within them.
My CFDs are purely phantom at the moment and may remain that. But the trouble is improving a skill seems more rewarding than increasing the pot. Thanks anyway. I have been told I am tighter than a --- ----.

Dil - 18 Nov 2004 00:57 - 1371 of 2372

Yeah and when me dad gives me this weeks pocket money I'm gonna buy a shed load of these cos they can't get any cheaper and a guy in the pub said contract news due Friday.

See who's laffing then Al :-)

Big Al - 18 Nov 2004 01:23 - 1372 of 2372

Dil - LOL! What boozer do you frequent? ;-)

Kivver - 18 Nov 2004 01:54 - 1373 of 2372

dildo, get yourself a girlfriend! What boozer - lol, some bar for saddos. One where the customers come in drunk at 5pm and sprawl all over the bar 'till kicking out time. Then sleep in a hedge all night! Where did these leaves come from?

THE TIMES

Bioprogress was caught in a vicious downward spiral after illness forced Graham Hind, chief executive of the AIM-listed technology licensing vehicle, to cancel an interview with www.iii.com, the investment website.

Exciteable shareholders, who mistook his withdrawal as a harbinger of bad news, sold the stock short, triggering a squeeze on the large number of investors exposed to Bioprogress through contracts for difference. Some 24 million shares changed hands, closing 14p cheaper at 69p.

THE INDEPENDANT

And the slump in the share price of punters' favourite BioProgress, accelerated. Its shares were down 14.75p at 69.5p as some investors faced cash calls to fund their losses

THE TELEGRAPH

Aim-listed biopharmaceuticals company Bioprogress tumbled 14.75 to 69.5p on rumours that chief executive Graham Hind had resigned after he cancelled an interview with an investor website. Turnover was 24.22m shares, worth 21pc of the company, compared with the usual 4m.

However, a spokesman said: "There is no truth to rumours he is leaving the company. He has the flu."

Dealers also added that a large contract for difference position was being unwound.

THE GUARDIAN

Among the smaller companies - Bioprogress - which makes films that dissolve in the mouth, was the most noticeable feature. Its shares fell 14.75p, or 17.5%, to 69.5p in heavy trading - about 20% of the company changed hands - as rumours did the rounds that chief executive Graham Hind had quit.

In fact, what had happened was that Mr Hind had not been able to do an interview on a popular investment website because he was unwell. Consequently market makers took advantage of the confusion to pull the Bioprogress quote lower and flush out investors holding the stock on margin.

AdieH - 18 Nov 2004 07:32 - 1375 of 2372

Blimmey this is becoming a playground, where did all the level headed posting go... The fundamentals of the company have not changed, GH has got the flu, BPRG won the Court Case (damages due)... It's top up time at very cheap prices...

gavinwood - 18 Nov 2004 11:06 - 1384 of 2372

Forget fundamentals, forget long term prospects, forget logic, enjoy the danger and excitement in the bizarre world of investing in Bioprogress - the scarcest rollercoaster on the planet! (Warning, those with a heart condition should not get involved).

Dil - 18 Nov 2004 11:12 - 1385 of 2372

Dil - 09 Nov'04 - 09:09 - 1222 of 1382 edit

Kivver - 09 Nov'04 - 09:33 - 1224 of 1382

160 (short term) more like, this company is going places. 360 long term. Keep a look for even more agreements/contracts in the very near future. Excellent prospects at last.

Dil - 18 Nov 2004 11:13 - 1386 of 2372

Stick round Kivver , you'll get the hang of it one day mate.

Regards
