Negative, cynic - I disagree & watched this very carefully.
DOW went up 20 points monday. FTSE then dropped tuesday morning & when the DOW opened p.m. U.K. time FTSE then dropped further, as did the DOW. The U.S. were waiting for inflation data, but the U.K. were profit taking before the drop came. Normally the reverse is true. The reason is that I was watching for the SOLA price to head down which triggered a sell for me.
Now the question is, when will the correction stop & the SOLA price start to increase again? My target is 200p but may have to adjust.

200p is fantasy-land. :o) (Still, it could happen . . . .)

Might have a try at persuading my Dad to get in on this tomorrow.

Very tricky. The DOW closed down 21 points, but was down 80 points at one time today. If the FTSE goes down again then I agree, 210 is probably the lowest SOLA will go on a bounce. But will the DOW go down again tomorrow afternoon?

Dow 11980 is a reasonably strong resistance ..... briefly climbed above; fell through; tried to rally; failed ... implication is a continuing downwards correction especially as the market is technically quite heavily overbought

Then I think a 4% drop at some point in the day is likely.
Just hope I dont miss the boat by trying to catch the bottom!

The drop never really matierialised, so bought back in again.
Next slight dip at 260???

with Q3's in 4 weeks why would anyone want to sell now? Defies utter belief..moreover Q3's will provide a sound basis on which to calculate Q4's with a greater degree of accuracy..upgrades from CSFB, SCSW, Lemmings and other investment mags..too much newsflow to consider selling..

on the basis that the lemmings and their extended families are now invested here, it might be a clever move to sell at least some before the results .... that is not to say they will disappoint; merely that that tends to be the way of things

this 'buy on rumour sell on fact' is pure short term bullshit talk. you don't tell an explosive growth stock like SOLA just after Q3's.certainly not when Q4 could prove even better!!!

I was waiting for a bigger fall, but have become a lemming today! Time will tell....

there is a tenable argument that one has a core holding + more for trading ..... i have found that worked with many stocks, especially those where the lemmings were likely to jump in and out.

by the way, if i got everything right, i sure as hell would not be working for a living, but have certainly made several correct calls of late

Nice tick up today. Any major selling is probably out of the way now and this is the consolidation until the break over 230p.

We took the opportunity to buy another small tranche at 227.66p earlier this afternoon.

The noises eminating from brokers and research houses suggest the next stage of the rise in share price is not too far away. (Need SOLA to perform to cover the SBT debacle !!!)
