What are you suggesting bos. RNS be renamed Business Update Service (BUS)?

It certainly doesn't read well and would expect the price to end down on that RNS. You sum it up Bosley, progress? what progress.

qchalmers - 16 Dec 2005 08:36 - 13741 of 27111

Alan, I totally agree about the packaging thrown out. Problem for me is simply that they dont produce enough. These figures are off the top of my head but from memory SEO are to increase production to 20000 tonnes in 2007 and they already sell 10000 to SP for $20m euros. So, ok they maybe get a discount but you can only sell another $20m euros worth on that production. How much actual profit on that? I am guessing not an awful lot.....

Greenseal as we know does not need to be sold to many suppliers to blow that type of figures out of the water.

Starpol in many, many years may be a different kettle of fish.

hewittalan6 - 16 Dec 2005 09:02 - 13742 of 27111

One other point I missed (don't know if you lot did or if you think its irrelevant).
The Welsh grant comes not from an environmental department, as one might expect, but from an economic department.
I'm not absolutely certain but I would have thought that the award would be after due diligance which would include the potential for long term jobs in the area and the financial soundness and standing of the applicants. I do know that they will have demanded a business plan, which showed sustainability after the grant was spent.
If this is true then at least the bods in Wales are confident of SEO to the tune of 3m.

more jam tomorrow.....looks like another big loss for the year and another share placing soon....hewit surely you are grasping at stwars when the best thing you can find in the announcement is a statement saying the Yanks are becoming more envirnomentally friendly.....still looks miles away from ever making a profit...next stop 12p

Treblewide - 16 Dec 2005 09:08 - 13744 of 27111

lol.....yip brilliant......foorget profits a welsh gove organisation obviously looking to get rid of its grant surplus before end of their year.....public money is easy to throw away.....when will SEO make a profit....never?...looks lilkely

Bema - 16 Dec 2005 09:08 - 13745 of 27111

Well i'm out for Christmas! With no news expected and a general market slow down till the new year i'm gambling this will drift back.

I will revisit mid Jan and you all have permission to take the p1ss if i'm wrong.

You should still have an EVO update to come so good luck.

greekman - 16 Dec 2005 09:11 - 13746 of 27111

ALAN,

Exactly, If SEO are not as sure as possible re the future, would they expand re the Welsh project, and as you say the Welsh department involved must be confident.

Treblewide - 16 Dec 2005 09:17 - 13747 of 27111

greek...SEO have not invested anything in expanding in Wales....as i say they have managed to get their hands on some free public money...this however does not make a business......it just means their cash outflow will be huge next year with extra R+D expenditure.....it is a side issue in a statement that as you have all siad is crap............where are all the sales for their world beating products???? ......silence!!!!

hewittalan6 - 16 Dec 2005 09:19 - 13748 of 27111

Greekman,
I aint throwing my hat into the ring based on Welsh beurocrats, but even though the 2 statements are wishy washy, it still seems much esier to find positives in there than negatives.
Turn the 2nd RNS round a little and imagine that it had said, "SEO have made 3m more than expected and instead of pissing it away they are gonna open an R&D facility in Wales, employing 60 people, to develop our range of environmentally friendly products because we feel there is more of a market than anticipated".
Does that sound a little better?
In effect, they are one and the same, with the bonus that the forecasts have been checked by independants.

nkirkup - 16 Dec 2005 09:20 - 13749 of 27111

All this pre-close statement will do is move BPRG share price upwards from now on, they must be laughing.

Treblewide - 16 Dec 2005 09:28 - 13750 of 27111

no there is a big difference Hewitt.....if they had made the three mill in profit then the business would be moving in the correct way.....they have been given it and are no where near profitability.....12-18 months worth of cash left...the only question for me is if they will get away with another placing with ne new real sales.......starting to look worse and worse

bhunt1910 - 16 Dec 2005 09:38 - 13751 of 27111

Well if BPRG goes back up - then that is also good news.

I am all for seeing share prices rise for the benefit of its shareholders. Why they must be laughing beats me - perhaps its because Xmas is coming - or little things perhaps please little minds

driver - 16 Dec 2005 09:54 - 13752 of 27111

What may have been missed is that if we do a deal with Perseco to supply to Mc Donalds Perseco will be making the starpol under licence, remember SEO is an IP company as well as a producer.

bhunt1910 - 16 Dec 2005 09:59 - 13753 of 27111

Maybe my earlier analysis was not so wrong when I said 1p down - but lets wait and see........

Treblewide - 16 Dec 2005 10:05 - 13754 of 27111
