0859 GMT [Dow Jones] Stanelco (SEO.LN) update is "less specific than we would have liked" regarding Greenseal, says Teather & Greenwood. Suspects retrofit program is now behind plan. Notes company mentions potential of 80 machines out of 200 for the Asda contract. Teather's forecast for 06 is already significantly below consensus and as it relies on completion of Asda contract on time, risk "must be on the downside." Teather isn't changing forecasts at this stage. Still likes Greenseal but wary over delivery. Believes too much potential is being built into valuation too early. Hold rating. Shares -4.5% at 15.875p. (PBA)

I think SEO should be roundly criticised for their pre-close statement. It was ambibuous and lacking; Shareholders deserved better. There was only one bit of positive information on Greenseal in the statement in my view and that was the shipping of the first RF American spec. machines. Still nothing on the availability of Mondini machines.
As far as the Welsh factory is concerned I still have memories of a 'Not the 9 o'clock News' sketch which homed in on the theme 'Failed in Wales' and catalogued all the companies that had opened up a branch there only for it to hit a brick wall. Hope things are different now.
I still hold these but unless the mgt. give some early clarifications the do not deserve continued loyalty in my view. A takeover by some better organized directors may be what is needed and is perhaps what will follow in the new year.

My feeling is SEO is providing far more information than it needs to. And the whims of the punters holding will unlikely to be satisfied. Ramping and deramping the SP is unlikely to effect the board.

Yes you're right Fred, we must remmber those claiming it's not enough etc etc all have a vested interest. They're just the usual traders, trying to lie their way to a quick profit. Oh well. They'll soon run out of cash, traders always do, it's the brokers that get their money!

I don't think it was a bad RNS although I do appreciate there is frustration in the air.
Don't forget a Pre Close Update as someone reminded me can not give specific figures.
Note the following extract.....Current potential placements are expected to lead to orders in excess of 50 conversions with one supplier to ASDA.
Another supplier is presently indicating a requirement for another 30 machines.
If these figures are just plucked out of the ether then SEO would be in serious trouble without substantial back up, re misleading the market.
The above is telling me this. 50 convertions with 1 Asda supplier, with another indicating 30.
I don't know how many Asda supply companies that have packaging/sealing machines that can convert to Greenseal but it must be into at least double figures. So that leads me to beleive the target of 200 conversions within the 1 year is still possible.
Obviously nothing is certain and my opinion is just that, an opinion.
