whatuwant - 21 Aug 2006 13:28

Chart.aspx?Provider=EODIntra&Code=SOLA&S

Gawd knows Greyhound, but PI's always get a stuffing on the news front, I'm surprised sometimes anyone makes money at all at this game :))

ptholden - 26 Jul 2007 13:51 - 1379 of 3050

gf I did read that, but having just ha the AGM to pass the resolution you would think a bit more clarity would be forthcoming.

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 13:52 - 1380 of 3050

Well yes from a decent management but all along Ive said this are a ropey lot .

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 13:55 - 1381 of 3050

Might be a lot of PIs waking up to the fact that sola have a mass of debt.

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 14:22 - 1383 of 3050

Can anyone tell me what the hell GF is doing on this thread, apart from spewing venom and spite at a company that he has no interest in.?

Perhaps they turned down your tender to clean their offices GF...... Is that it.?

cynic - 26 Jul 2007 14:37 - 1384 of 3050

don't agree with GF's approach etc, but he is certainly correct (imo) that sp is heading south, even if just through a continuing lack of buying interest

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 14:43 - 1385 of 3050

Or constantly deramping ..... WHY????? ...... he 'aint got a penny in it either way.

SICK, or what.??????????????????????????

Personally I don't care if it falls to 2 quid, I'll still hold. Just trading shares for me now, but have to question this guys mentality.

Why don't we have a filter button.?

By the way, he has been banned from ADVFN, otherwise he would be spouting his venom on the SOLA thread there.

Never was able to answer any of JT Cods figures though. Too smart for him.!!!!

ptholden - 26 Jul 2007 14:45 - 1386 of 3050

kitso, there is a filter button, click on user and 'squelch'

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 15:02 - 1387 of 3050

PTH, I am indebted to you. Many, many thanks.

GF, consider yourself well and truly squelched.

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 15:04 - 1388 of 3050

What a blessed relief.

Greyhound - 26 Jul 2007 15:07 - 1389 of 3050

Increased my short.

cynic - 26 Jul 2007 15:41 - 1390 of 3050

help"!

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 15:44 - 1391 of 3050

Dont blame you Gh.

Been having a look at the accounts again this lunchtime and I can tell you that solas debt position is far worse than I thought originally. In fact if it werent for them issuing all those bonds the net cashflow out would be in a far worse predicament than it is now. And thats bad.

Strange how the bulls all throw a tantrum when things arent going their way.

I reckon if you TAers drew a chart of Investor sentiment/displeasure and laid it over the chart for sola the two would match exactly.

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 16:22 - 1392 of 3050

LOL cyn...... hang in there. Tomorrow is another day. :-)))

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 16:23 - 1393 of 3050

Wey, it really is going to the dogs now.

A sea of red.

kitosdad - 26 Jul 2007 16:49 - 1394 of 3050

Only consolation is that my long in SOLA was down less than CART.

ptholden - 26 Jul 2007 16:50 - 1395 of 3050

Considering the carnage today thought SOLA held up pretty well under the circumstances

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 17:01 - 1396 of 3050

Can see this one falling apart tomorrow.

goldfinger - 26 Jul 2007 17:55 - 1397 of 3050

Now that the trading day is over Ill bring that small matter of debt back up again.

At the end of the last financial year to 31/Dec/2006 Solas Debt to Equity ratio (Gearing) stood at the high level of 20.1% .

Then checking the first quarters figure I have found it to be escalating to a shocking 47.5%, and remember this does not include the 105,449 million* of convertible bond payables.

The servicing of the debt obviously effecting the cash flow of the company, and little wonder its been a negative figure on cash flow operations for the last 4 I/4trs.

This company in my opinion is being proped up by debt, it remains to be seen if the management can deliver.

* figures in dollars.
