required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

Dil, I'm trying to book a ticket for your Cup Final this Saturday -): and I always refuse to pay any sort of transaction, handling or any other poxy extra price on my match ticket specially when using my time, printer and Ink.

I had identified a good seat and thought I would send a cheque and get it that way.

So I ring up and offer to send a cheque (like most other clubs except) but no Cardiff do not allow payment by cheque "at all"!

Bloke on the phone said the only way not to be ripped off is to buy a ticket on the day.. And then risk the price increasing as the game gets closer, again club policy!!.. I did mention something about the club being millions in debt but it didn't seem to register. Also mentioned that I'm not the only football fan to withhold money if about to be conned.

Looking increasingly likely that I will now miss another away win by the (now) promotion chasing Clarets -): As you can imagine I feel a lot better having got that off my chest -):

And what about the drug taker for years to no end ?.......

Lance Armstrong Stripped Of Titles

Lance Armstrong was officially stripped of his titles Monday by cycling's governing body in the latest chapter in the doping allegations against the seven times Tour de France champion.

The International Cycling Union, or UCI, the sports governing body, based in Aigle, Switzerland, acted following a damning report by the U.S. anti-doping authorities which said Mr. Armstrong was at the center of "a massive team doping scheme, more extensive than any previously revealed in professional sports history."

The UCI said it accepted the findings and punishments handed out by the U.S. Anti Doping Agency which included stripping the 41-year-old of all results dating back to Aug. 1, 1998, including his record run of Tour de France wins from 1999 to 2005, and banned him from competitive cycling for life.

UCI President Pat McQuaid said: "The UCI will recognize the sanction that USADA has imposed, and the UCI will ban Lance Armstrong from cycling and strip him of his seven Tour de France titles.

That was some performance by Celtic tonight, scoring first against Barca at home. Cruel ending Barca scoring the winner around third minute out of four minutes time added on.

Stan , cheques are the dark ages :-)

Cardiff this season along with others (Derby spring to mind) offer a demand based pricing system where earlier you buy the cheaper it is.

Can't believe away fans are charged different prices for their designated area so if you aint got one in there suffer like the rest of us :-)

Think ticketmaster operate our ticket sales sames as WRU and it p*sses me off when I order Welsh rugby tickets through our local club , pick up from local club and still get charged an admin fee !

Cardiff/Wales got to be getting a kick back from this rip off , 72,000 x £2 for flogging a garunteed Wales v All Blacks/Oz/etc sell out ???

Dil - 24 Oct 2012 01:21 - 1385 of 6918

Stay home buy beer and drown ur sorrows when we stuff u , see you in April at the promotion party :-)

Dil - 24 Oct 2012 01:26 - 1386 of 6918

Chris ... statistically 1 in 3 games on average has a goal scored from the 85th minute on.

Tonight in the Championship it was 6 out of 11 , Cardiff's was the best though :)

Champions League it was 2 out of 6 , League 1 was 6 out of 12 and League 2 was 3 out of 12.

edited : 17 from 41 = 41% so above average.

Stan - 24 Oct 2012 01:38 - 1387 of 6918

A small match report is appropriate on this auspicious occasion.. I think you'll agree -):

Bristol City 3 Burnley 4.

McCann gets late winner as Austin joins greats.

Charlie Austin wrote his name into the Clarets’ record books by scoring for the eighth successive game as Burnley grabbed a remarkable last-gasp victory at Ashton Gate.

Austin equalled the club-best run of striking legend Ray Pointer, set in the 1958/59 season as Burnley approached their finest hour as future League champions.

The current Clarets may not be of quite the same vintage but Austin proved he is up there with the best of them by surpassing Pointer’s total from that scoring streak by making it 14 goals in his last eight games.

Pointer went on to finish that season with 27 goals and two more from Austin took his tally for the campaign to 18 before he gave away centre stage to Chris McCann.

Austin’s goals, including one from the penalty spot, had given Burnley a 2-1 lead and when Martin Paterson then made it 3-1 with half an hour to go the Clarets looked to be cruising to back-to-back Championship wins for the first time this season.

Struggling City hadn’t read the script, though, as they hit back from nowhere through a controversial Sam Baldock penalty and a Paul Anderson goal to level in the 90th-minute.

Terry Pashley’s temporary reign as caretaker manager looked as though it may end on a low note if this proves to be his last game in charge.

But the popular Pashley has got the best out of ‘his’ players over the past week and they managed to stir up one last effort which bought a 95th-minute winner from McCann, who headed in to give the Clarets a deserved, if scarcely, believable victory.
