I don't think it was a bad RNS although I do appreciate there is frustration in the air.
Don't forget a Pre Close Update as someone reminded me can not give specific figures.
Note the following extract.....Current potential placements are expected to lead to orders in excess of 50 conversions with one supplier to ASDA.
Another supplier is presently indicating a requirement for another 30 machines.
If these figures are just plucked out of the ether then SEO would be in serious trouble without substantial back up, re misleading the market.

The above is telling me this. 50 convertions with 1 Asda supplier, with another indicating 30.
I don't know how many Asda supply companies that have packaging/sealing machines that can convert to Greenseal but it must be into at least double figures. So that leads me to beleive the target of 200 conversions within the 1 year is still possible.
Obviously nothing is certain and my opinion is just that, an opinion.

U just did - welcome

Gausie - 16 Dec 2005 16:41 - 13801 of 27111

IMHO it's an interesting but very risky recovery play. Probably too risky to enter, and If I were in, I'd be looking to exit.

Long term holders are likely to be kicking themselves for not getting out at 17p, and will talk this up but are likely to rush for the exits if it sees 17p again in the short term.

There's so many other exciting companies out there that are rising rapidly - large caps like HBOS and small caps like SOR. Surely these are better, low risk investments - I'm afraid SOE is more likely to see 12p than 18p. IMHO The smarter investor would sell now an look to reenter at 12p.

Morning all
The Jock is short, the muppets are long and Bernie is neutral...i'll agree with Bernie, wouldnt play this either way, plenty of better opportunities.
dominic simpson (a smarter investor who has a friend in Leicester)

Fred1new - 16 Dec 2005 17:36 - 13804 of 27111

Gausie, what price are you hoping to buy at?

8-)

hewittalan6 - 16 Dec 2005 17:38 - 13805 of 27111

Okay. Just to give them something to shoot at.
We were all disappointed by the pre close statement. Anti climax set in. The sp drops, not surprising, but to nowhere near the levels we saw just a few weeks ago.
We now have more tha the 5 orders everyone bleated about, and we know that conversions will take place across the pond. We have an expansion into a new R&D facility in Wales, and confirmation that there is a great appetite for the technology in the USA.
We have had the research update from EVO, which has raised its forecast of conversions by 50%, and its target price by about 25-30%. It has not even touched on anything regarding the negotiations with MacDonalds and Coca Cola suppliers and has not included them in its forecast. It has also said (as we all have) that the 20000 tons is just a taste of things to come.
Short termers, do your own thing. Long termers, like me, well lets just say that I will go on my Hols quite happy, having had time to digest this.
Alan
