You seem to be forgetten that the BPRG placing is not for cashburn purposes but for a profit making aquisition, price will not pullback as the market see's it as a very positive step forward for Bioprogress.
The fact their also in talks with several top 10 pharma's and also that they've announced a new joint venture today just adds to the great news, thats before we even get to Biotec now being a profit making venture!
Keep your bitterness to yourself mate as this is not football team supporting, instead of treating Bioprogress as a rival treat them as a great investment oportunity.
ps If Balchin kept news till it was certain like RT at Bioprogress then Stanelco would be a lot better off.

Club stores consider sustainable packaging
Environmentally friendly developments gain momentum at Sam's Club and other club stores.
Winterborne, Inc., based in Chatsworth, CA, has been in the contract packaging business for 20+ years and has worked with warehouse club suppliers for 13 years. The company is a preferred packaging vendor for Sam's Club. Warehouse Club Focus spoke with Howard Mallen, executive vice president at Winterborne, about the companys partnership with Smurfit-Stone Container Corp., announced in September 2005, and about the companys patent-pending environmentally sustainable EnviroShell [TM] clamshell package.
Winterborne specializes in packaging products in clamshell or blister packages that are sealed along the edges using radio-frequency sealing machinery.
A packaging component that Winterborne outsources is corrugated paper. To address that ongoing need, in September, 2005, Winterborne announced a partnership with Smurfit-Stone, an integrated manufacturer of paperboard, paper-based packaging and corrugate, to promote the core competencies of both companies.
Greg St. Laurent, Smurfit-Stones marketing manager, said, We see Winterborne as a leading edge company in the development of consumer-oriented packaging. We look forward to working with them to further integrate their products and services into our sales and marketing efforts. This alliance will enable Winterborne and Smurfit-Stone to offer customers a complete in-house packaging solution, from innovation to implementation, which includes all packaging components.
Sustainable clubs
. One topic that is increasingly becoming important to warehouse club buyers is environmentally sustainable packaging. Mallen said that buyers from Sam's Club and Costco are undertaking a push to reduce or eliminate polyvinyl chloride (PVC). In addition, Sam's Club buyers use a checklist on environmentally sustainable packaging when reviewing club products
According to the World Commission on Environment and Development, environmentally sustainable packaging meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Essentially, as Mallen states, sustainable packaging is the creation of product packaging for the current marketplace that does not compromise the environment for future generations.
In a September 22, 2005 Business Week Online interview, Lee Scott, Wal-Marts chairman and chief executive officer, commented on environmentally friendly packaging. Scott said, We are finding tremendous cost savings while doing better things for the environment. Packaging is one of the simple ones, and shame on us for not having done it earlier. We just changed the packaging on 16 private label toys. It saved 230 containers coming from overseas ... and we didnt change any of the product inside. It saved more than $1 million in transportation costs.
EnviroShell clamshell package
A year ago, Winterborne decided to address the issue of environmentally sustainable packaging and introduced the patent-pending EnviroShell clamshell package. EnviroShell is a blister-corrugated hybrid package that is made from 65% recycled materials, including 50% post-consumer content. [Editor's note: The blister is made of RPET, Recycled PET] EnviroShell meets key club buyer needs, such as improved product and marketing visibility, theft deterrence, product support and stability, protection during distribution and strength for heavy products and multilayer stacking.
In terms of cost, the EnviroShell environmentally sustainable packaging can save up to 20%, especially when there is less plastic and more corrugated.

Shamona,
BPRG will be a good investment opportunity for me when I think they are doing something right.
We have seen these types of promising announcements before, and they have come to nowt, what makes you so darn sure they know what they are doing now, especially after failing to deliver on so many promises in the past ?
I think the market will be bullish for a very short time for BPRG, as the blue sky will still take a long time to prove, they cannot exactly announce every week that they have made some small progress(pun !), how long till the next positive update ?
Also you and they say that they are in talks, these tallks have been going on for years and no deals, nothing new I feel apart from management ramping it as before, will they finally deliver the deals they have been promising for years ?

Saw an article today giving the opinion that China within a decade will overtake Japan and become the second largest connsumer re GDP after the USA. Walmart were mentioned as being very well placed to take advantage, as were several other globally massive companies such as McDonalds ect.
Short extract.......
The Chinese economy is already larger than that of France and Britain.
China will overtake Japan as the second largest economy in six to seven years, and by 2040--a generation from now --it would rival that of the US as the world's largest economy.
The Chinese market, needless to say, is huge. The big supermarkets--Walmart and Carrefour--are fighting to carve out the Chinese market, as are the fast food chains, KFC and McDonalds.

Okay, I know the Walmart, McDonalds link re SEO is still tentertive but with lack of other news thought I would give it a mention.

I asked the question re completion of the 200 conversions for asda within the exclusivity period and got the following answer. (question asked after closing statement-- to get some clarity ) Take it any way you like:
Dear Sir
It is still the companys belief that 200 conversions will have been completed within the ASDA agreement timeframe.
Best regards

With Christmas being the busyest time of the year, I would think the problem would be that the packing companys, would not take machines out of production to convert them.

Yes, and with the quietest period being the 3 to 4 weeks after the festive season that will be the time to really forge ahead.
Now if only we could have some news leaked out re the conversion of machines over this period via overtime figures re the fitters.
Several months ago a certain IT company was pushing broadband in our county. At the time there were several views of how well it was going. On speaking to a couple of engineers who were dealing with the link-ups they informed me that overtime was there for the asking and they were struggling to fill orders. Within weeks the SP had increased about 20% and a takeover offer was made.
Now anyone know a Greanseal retro fitter.
