There is a lot going on behind the scenes regarding RDF Media with possible court cases (if I remember right) along with a possible management buy-out but you can't get away from the fact that they are still getting the deals in.
RDFR lines up US, Canuck simulcast
UK distributor RDF Rights (RDFR) has secured its first deal for the simulcast of a US network show, The Secret Millionaire, in Canada.
The 8x60' series will be broadcast simultaneously on CanWest networks in Canada and on the Fox Network in the US from December.
Jane Millichip, chief operating officer at RDFR, part of RDF Media Group, said: "It is rare for a UK distribution company to have the opportunity to secure a simulcast deal in Canada, as US network television is generally distributed by the US majors. As Secret Millionaire is an RDF format, produced by RDF USA in the US, we were able to keep it in the family."
The deal was brokered by Anthony Appell, VP sales for RDFR, who also sold all three UK series of The Secret Millionaire to CanWest, a total of 19x60' episodes. CanWest will also broadcast the UK series in 2009.

I wonder if the Mysti website will get an unveiling during MIPCOM next week,it's been shut off to the public long enough now!

From the June Interims:
"We have also signed a development deal for another popular show, Mysti, with Planet Nemo, a leading French production company in the kids sector. We hope this will enable us to develop a more multi-territory treatment of the next TV series. Sokator-442, a comedy action fantasy targeted to children aged 6-11 years old, continues to attract strong interest in Europe. We have pre-sale offers in Germany, Australia and Scandinavia and are focusing on bringing in one more key territory to give the property the critical mass that it needs."
Planet Nemo are exhibiting next week at Mipcom.
Edit-just to add that I doubt Mysti is ready for MIPCOM this year but you never know.

Forgot to look for and post the 'Cynopsis' news on the recent Malaysian deal regarding Super Soccer Star,so here it is:
09/30/08
"Galleon Holdings plc in the U.K. is working with Malaysian producers Nafalia Corporation Sdn Bhd to create a Malaysian version of Galleon's reality talent show Super Soccer Star under a co-production deal between the two. Radio Television Malaysia will bring 13 episodes of the show to its primetime lineup in January 2009."
http://www.cynopsis.com/content/view/3859/53/
It's most interesting to note that this time SSS will be a co-production between Nafalia and GON so a more polished affair can be expected before being broadcast on prime time tv by RTM,just my view though.
Edit-ahhhhh those two initials from before...........of an editor,I assume?

Just revisiting the Interims and relating to Super Soccer Star which were announced 27 June 2008:
"Our first multiplatform entertainment property Super Soccer Star, an interactive family orientated football talent show, was launched in April with co-producers Guangdong Sports Channel and Chelsea Football Club. The show has been a huge success and is one of the broadcaster's top 5 rated shows. This has led to the show being syndicated by the Shanghai Sports Channel, which will take it to another 11 million viewers. We are in discussions with other national satellite broadcasters for a second series in China. We are also in final negotiations for a series in Malaysia and there are discussions underway in Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. Our second show, The Limit, is set to air later in the year on Hunan Satellite, a leading broadcaster with a reach of 400 million homes. Our network and operational expertise has allowed us to develop relationships with other media companies looking to gain traction in China. During this period we agreed a deal with RDF Media to co-produce a select number of their properties and represent its shows in the region."
Then on the 29th September 2008 GON announced confirmation for a co-production agreement for Super Soccer Star in Malaysia along with Indonesia if 'Activate' can secure additional sponsors for the show, both mentioned three months ago in the Interims at top.
Over the last two or so years GON have nearly always delivered from their early projections so it's a pretty good bet that they will be announcing deals in Thailand and Vietnam very soon.
"In conjunction with the global sports sponsor of Super Soccer Star, Chelsea Football Club, Galleon is conducting negotiations in several other territories in South East Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East, building a global entertainment brand."-If you have followed GON and the way things pan out then these deals if made will probably be announced end of this year/early 2009.
Also:
"The US rights have recently been licensed to Dragonfruit Studios, an original content studio focused on multi-platform entertainment properties, which plans to launch the show in the US during 2009."

From the recent trading statement 07 October 2008 and still relating to the Interims in previous post 'The Limit' is still on the cards for launch later this year which there isn't a lot left of!
"The Limit - prime-time family variety game show. To be launched in Hunan province, China later this year."
"Hunan Satellite,a leading broadcaster with a reach of 400 million homes."-That number still makes me smile :-)

and yes still relating to the Interims:
"Our network and operational expertise has allowed us to develop relationships with other media companies looking to gain traction in China. During this period we agreed a deal with RDF Media to co-produce a select number of their properties and represent its shows in the region."
Prior to this and within the last AGM on 2 April 2008
"Partnership with RDF Media
Having validated the pipeline and demonstrated the flexibility of our business
model we have sought access to a library of entertainment content and production
expertise that we can exploit within China and SEA. To this end we are delighted
to announce that Galleon has entered into an agreement to work with RDF Media to
co-produce a select number of shows with leading broadcasters in China
leveraging the best of RDF creative content and Galleon's business model and
expertise in executing these shows in the territory."
There has been no real news relating to RDF since the first announcement above.GON have therefore not stated a partnership has failed to materialise for what ever reason so is news on the cards?

There are so many successful avenues to GON so it's very difficult to know where to start sometimes, which is a great position to be in!
I think this will do for tonight, taken from the trading statement 07 October 2008:
Stephen Green, CEO of Galleon Holdings, said:
'The Company is delighted to report that trading for the year to 30 September is at least in line with expectations. We have a number of hit shows under our belt and have demonstrated that we have a robust platform and infrastructure in China and South East Asia. We are heading to MIPCOM, an international audiovisual content trade show next week with an attractive slate and are well-positioned to take advantage of opportunities this will present. We remain confident of the Group's outlook for the coming year.'

Galleon Holdings PLC
First Earn-Out Payment - Yunbo
Galleon Holdings plc (AIM: GON), the AIM listed entertainment media company developing and producing multi-platform properties with a focus on emerging markets, is pleased to announce that following its acquisition of Changsha High and New Technology Industrial Development Zone Yunbo Information Technology Co. Ltd ('Yunbo'), a leading mobile services provider in China, the company has exceeded its EBITDA performance target for the first six months, as detailed under the terms of the acquisition agreement dated 20 February 2008.
Galleon acquired Yunbo to strengthen the Group's media infrastructure in emerging markets and to provide complete multi-platform media solutions to Chinese broadcasters. Since the acquisition, Yunbo has grown its average monthly revenue by approximately 60% and is now the tenth largest mobile services provider in China. This growth has been driven by a diversified product offering and Galleon's roll-out of its entertainment properties, including interactive TV services, which continues with a number of negotiations with broadcasters underway. Through this infrastructure Galleon's Chinese operations are able to deliver a pipeline for 3rd party or internally developed interactive TV content, with total control over delivery to the consumer, data capture and the billing process.
As a result of Yunbo exceeding the agreed performance targets, the first element of deferred consideration is due for payment to the vendors. This consideration is to be satisfied by the issuance and allotment of 10,180,775 Galleon ordinary shares with a nominal value of 1p per share.
The Company has applied for these shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and admission is expected to occur at 8 am on the 16 October 2008.
A further performance related payment will be due in 2009, based on Yunbo's EBITDA performance target for the 12 months to 31 December 2008.
Stephen Green, CEO of Galleon Holdings, said:
'Yunbo has been an excellent addition to the Galleon group. The growth that we are seeing in Yunbo's revenues is evidence that our strategy of using our media entertainment properties to drive traffic through mobile platforms is working. We expect this to continue as we develop our operations within our China media division, Phoenix.'

All very good news for the future growth of GON,imo.
"Since the acquisition, Yunbo has grown its average monthly revenue by approximately 60% and is now the tenth largest mobile services provider in China."
'The Limit' is now due early 2009 as opposed to "later this year" which although slightly disappointing is part and parcel of programming for any company in this sector.

Then if we drift across the pond:
"The US rights have recently been licensed to Dragonfruit Studios, an original content studio focused on multi-platform entertainment properties, which plans to launch the show in the US during 2009. In conjunction with the global sports sponsor of Super Soccer Star, Chelsea Football Club, Galleon is conducting negotiations in several other territories in South East Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East, building a global entertainment brand."
"Apollo's Pad, an interactive entertainment property aimed at a young male audience, offers online and mobile users a unique, broadcast-quality comedy entertainment show. Over 100 episodes, set in the fictional Apollo's Pad nightclub, have been produced to date. The music catalogue, which forms an integral part of the offering, is supplied by Sony BMG and EMI. The US and certain global rights to Apollo's Pad were recently licensed to Dragonfruit Studios, which will support a broader global roll-out and increased brand sponsorship.
Following the first distribution agreement in the US for the Skunk fu! toyline with Zizzle Toys in August this year, the toys are due to go on sale in the UK and US in spring 2009 in retail outlets including Tesco and Target. The Skunk fu! series is currently broadcast in the US on The Cartoon Network as many as three times per day during the week and on the weekends it is shown on the Kids WB Network and has been running on BBC1, CBBC and S4C in the UK since July 2007. The toyline has been created by Galleon's Croco Worldwide division and is another demonstration of how Galleon is able to exploit its' entertainment properties across multiple platforms."
and then back to China RE:Co-production agreement for Super Soccer Star in Malaysia:
"This agreement follows the success of the first series of Super Soccer Star, broadcast on Guangdong TV Sports Channel in China. Super Soccer Star is an interactive family orientated talent show to find the next teen football star. The winner is granted a place to train at Chelsea's Football Academy. The show was one of the top five overall shows during its first run on Guangdong TV Sports Channel and a recent episode outperformed the channel's average market share by 94%."

Galleon's Yunbo exceeds EBITDA target
13/10/2008
Aim listed entertainment firm Galleon said its recently bought Yunbo Information Technology exceeded its EBITDA performance target for the first six months.
The emerging market focused company said Yunbo has grown its average monthly revenue by around 60% and is now China's tenth largest mobile services provider.
"This growth has been driven by a diversified product offering and Galleon's roll-out of its entertainment properties, including interactive TV services, which continues with a number of negotiations with broadcasters underway," it said.
As a result of Yunbo exceeding the agreed performance targets, the first element of deferred consideration is due for payment to vendors, said Galleon, which is to be satisfied by the issue and allotment of around 10.18m Galleon shares at 1p per share.
Last week Galleon said overall the group had made good progress during the year, with full year results expected to be at least in line with market expectations.

Here is NCircle (the DVD distributor for the USA) and the launch material for Skunk Fu.
Looks like a pre-order date of 25/11/08 with the ability to buy off the shelf across the US starting 23/12/08.
This is probably just the normal run of the mill speak but:
"Highly anticipated toy line launches Spring '09"
"Expanded licensing program continues throughout '09"
