stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 09:16 - 13983 of 23498

Good morning all.
I'm sitting here waiting for paint to dry - yes, seriously..decided to
use this 'free' but germ ridden weekend to renovate or bodge (depending
on your level of perfectionism lol) a wall unit 'thing'...it can't be
removed as it appears to have been put up to withstand nuclear blast so
no choice but to work with it!
So far so good - mind you the wall behind it seems slightly dodgy, painting
it produces a sound like painting paper covered gravel - plaster v.suspect.
But hopefully it will turn out ok.

Fundy - HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR YESTERDAY!!!
Stormy - thanks for the warm and snug retreat, slowly feeling better.
Socs - a fur mit...how could I refuse - as long as it's not been used
on GD!! (No offense Poochy..) LOL

Morning bunny
Wife is out today and I've got a list of jobs to get done before I go to the Chelsea V Spurs match. Started potting plants at 7:15 this morning. Just putting some trellis up now.

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 09:50 - 13985 of 23498

Putting up trellis whilst typing on the computer, Jeff your abilities
never cease to amaze me along with the length of your arms to stretch
from garden to house! LOL
Nice to see the wife has you 'organised' ;>)

Chelsea Vs Spurs - Which one do you support?

jeffmack - 19 Sep 2004 10:26 - 13986 of 23498

bunnuy
Neither, I'm just going for the fun of it. And a few beers of course, rude not to!

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 10:42 - 13987 of 23498

Oh well you can go and enjoy yourself regardless of the result then
JeffMack - great ideas, no disappointments either way! Oh I remember
now you support Millwall don't you?

This paint still isn't dry....

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:18 - 13988 of 23498

Bunny I like plastering, want some help? Lets face it if the plaster is loose behind the paper it will descend to the floor.....eventually. These projects are fun aren't they, I suppose you could avoid papering for a few years :-))))

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 11:21 - 13989 of 23498

Shhh Opto - don't go giving the plaster any ideas...LOL
I have applied filler here and there where it
looked very unstable - EG the paper actually fell off taking the plaster
with it!- but I just know if I really start to attempt to do the job
properly I shall be in for removing the whole lot up to the picture rail!!
What are you up to today?

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:29 - 13990 of 23498

I'm having a day doing nothing Bunny, it's going to make a nice change.

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 11:33 - 13991 of 23498

Not now you aren't(lol) Ok grab your trowel etc and hit the
motorway Sir - I've got a wall in need of Opto-mising ;>)

chocolat - 19 Sep 2004 11:34 - 13992 of 23498

Still got that hole in the ceiling - every time it's blowy, I get gritty bits all over the sink and the range...still, it adds another dimension to the food.
Did you say you had nothing to do today, opto?

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:38 - 13993 of 23498

Opto-mising! I like that Bunny. Are you up North Choccie? that could present a logistical problem. How did you get a hole in the ceiling?

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 11:38 - 13994 of 23498

Well You'll have to get in line Choccie, I booked him first!! LOL
I'll pay you in chocolate gateaux opto...now you know you can't
resist that......

chocolat - 19 Sep 2004 11:42 - 13995 of 23498

...not up north from you, opto...but I am from bunnie ;)
It's a long story, about that hole..

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:45 - 13996 of 23498

Uhmm you temptress Bunny, how long does it take to get to London? assuming my car would make the distance :-)

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 11:46 - 13997 of 23498

Playing the geographical card huh Choccie? But she's not
much further north from me Opto - it's just to get you to think
she is and hopefully get her ceiling fixed...double chocolate gateaux
with a hint of brandy or rum..either or both...just say the word, I'll
even cook you a steak...
;>)

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:48 - 13998 of 23498

Choccie you must be almost a neighbour. Could we not have the long story in installments?

stockbunny - 19 Sep 2004 11:49 - 13999 of 23498

Yeah go on Choccie I'm all ears...............

chocolat - 19 Sep 2004 11:52 - 14000 of 23498

Double chocolate gateaux now, is it?

Can I come too?

chocolat - 19 Sep 2004 11:53 - 14001 of 23498

Where to start with the story, eh

optomistic - 19 Sep 2004 11:57 - 14002 of 23498
