NORTH WEST TRADERS DAY - 11th September (MEET)

There will be dinner afterwards at The Post House Hotel just around the corner from the club, meal to be paid for individually. I have provisionally booked all the accommodation at the Post House Hotel (11 bedrooms) for anyone wishing to stay overnight, anyone wishing to book in at the hotel, please state you are attending the North West Traders meeting otherwise you wont get in-the phone no is 01200 422025- web site is www.posthousehotel.co.uk (great place) please book the accommodation as soon as possible so I will know how many rooms we will need.

NB:Please note the Post House Hotel is now full, however I have provisionally booked,2 x double ensuite rooms, 2 x double twin rooms en suite,and 2 x single rooms en suite, at the Rose and Crown hotel, which is next door to the Conservative Club telephone no. 01200 458000 please ask for Lyndsey,the deputy manageress, quoting North West traders meeting.

Can you also note that there are 2 evening events attached to this traders day and if anybody is interested please post here and I will update above.

First is the night before the meeting and is an evening trip to Blackpool.I will put up details of where to meet nearer the time.

regarding blackpool night out on the 10th could people going meet at the post house hotel,around 5pm to depart by 6pm at the latest,also please could you put your name down if you intend going,l.l.

Then of course there is the evening meal after the traders day itself. If you want to come to the evening meal then you must let me know. The hotel only has a small restaurant and needs numbers by the 7th September at the very latest.

Take M6 to junction 31. Exit here and join A677 ( A59) towards Blackburn and Clitheroe. After 2 miles bear left at traffic lights, join A59 to Clitheroe. Proceed along A59, and proceed approximately 12 miles.
Exit the A59 at the first Clitheroe sign.
Follow the road into Clitheroe.

Directions from Manchester and M62 & M60

Leave M62/ M60 at M66 (J18) follow signs towards Bury.
Proceed past Bury to end of M66 and then follow A56 signposted Accrington - Clitheroe.
Keep on the A56 until you reach its junction with the M65 motorway (Junction 8).
Go straight across this roundabout under the motorway and then follow signs for Clitheroe until you join the A59.
Exit the A59 at the first Clitheroe sign.
Follow the road into Clitheroe.

Directions from Skipton (A59) and West Yorkshire

Join A59 at Skipton and proceed south, eventually travelling through Gisburn.
After approximately 2 miles, you will travel down a long steep hill passing turning to Sawley on the right and also passing turning on the right marked Chatburn.
The road travels through a gorge with a bridge over the top.
Follow the A59 and take the second turning into Clitheroe.
